My question of the day is this...

How would the average citizens of the world actually respond to a world like the Marvel or DC Earth?

What would change, societally?

If you know there is a physical hell, people have been there...if you know aliens watch us, what changes?
Would there by huge groups worshipping the Asgardians or the Eternals?
I also think there would be a Banish the Green Lantern Corps movement.

A space police force with unbeatable weapons made from superior technology...we would never handle that well.
How does a city get over an attack by Chemo, I wonder.
Also, would we still have armies or would conflict all be fought with metahumans?

Imagine the military budget when your attacker has the Super-solider serum.
What about aspirational achievements?

Would we have NASA when there are alien races and teleporters?

Would we have the Olympics in a world where the Flash exists?

What would be the point?

And what happens to a society without herd aspirations?

This is a Scandal Savage Stan thread.

Here are some Scandal facts. Image
I didn’t mean a Big SURPRISE in creating the character (@daleeaglesham came up with her gorgeous design.

But it did irk me that there were so few gay women characters in the mainstream superhero books of the time.

She was supposed to be short and a little stocky, and Brazilian.
Which was frustrating, because I knew there were a LOT of lgbtq readers of comics. Whole communities.

So I wanted a lesbian character where there was no ambiguity about it, and who had zero regrets, and also a team that supported her.

Okay, I am about to tell a bit of a story.

You're going to want to be prepared for this, fair warning.
Seriously, this is quite emotional.

It's about a little boy who fell in love with superheroes at a very young age.
His name is Zaadii, he's Navajo, and when he was just three years old, his sister got a FROZEN cape.

At the same time, he discovered the BATMAN syndicated tv show, the Adam West one, and he decided that superheroes were EVERYTHING.

So, he stole the cape every chance he got.

Okay, so this is the coolest.

My friends at @TheDeckofMany, who created the astoundingly beautiful and successful #Humblewood campaign setting, have come up with a new one, a creepy, whimsical RPG setting called HECKNA.

The kickstarter is in its last 17 hours.

BUT...:)

cont.
They asked for $20k and have raised almost $600,000 already. WOW!

Here's the fun part. If they make their last stretch goal, I will write a graphic novel in their setting, drawn by a SUPERSTAR artist.

I am so excited by this, it is SCARY and FUNNY.

If you signed up for their fantastic #HUMBLEWOOD setting, you know the quality of the work they do. The books are like museum pieces. There's tiers for every budget.

But what really excites me is the setting. Take your D&D characters to a bizarre, surreal carnival...LOOK!

I have a weird theory that sounds incredibly goofy but might actually be significant.

It involves Bronson Pinchot.
Okay, this is a bit silly sounding. But I think it might actually also be meaningful, so bear with me (no pun intended).

If there are holes in this theory, happy to hear them. But I think I'm onto something.

It's about movies we loved as kids.

Here we go.
I think we have almost all experienced it if you have a soul at all. We've all had a move we loved as a kid or teen, that when we watch it a decade or more later, we find really cringe-inducing moments. It may be misogyny, it may be racism, transphobia is weirdly common...
