Today marks 3 years since I was forced to public because @DalhousieU chose to discipline me over a personal FB post. Every year for the past three years I’ve been asking for a public apology from @DalPres because they chose not to apply race as a lens to mitoagate the situation.
@DalPres @DalhousieU backed up white students who felt Uncomfoterble with my anti racist stand point. They felt uncomfortable that not only was I a visible Muslim student leader I also used #s such as: #whitefragilitycankissmyass #yourehiteyearsarentsacredthislandis
Dal said because I was an elected DSU official I violated Dalhousie’s environemnt of inclusion and respect. white fragility I faced was the whole reason I wrote the FB post. I tried to make the union take a stance against Canada 150and the backlash I received informed that post.
The @DalhousieU administration forced me to delete my fb post. They tried to force me into back door meetings without any support, so I showed up with a lawyer. I was told they had countless meeting about me without me in attempts to control me 👀
I’ll never forget when they brought the case forward as the complaint they were first Pursuing was Michael Smiths (who complained about me via student code of conduct though he was no longer a student). Michael Smith wrote a article in the national post about me on July 13 2017.
I told @DalhousieU this article had harmed me via media.his article created a chain reaction of dmd death threats, rape threats and my face was circulated on wyte supremacist websites. The VP student affairs told me that had nothing to do with my case though he was the
Complainant
Dal legal and admin team did everything in their power to bury me. They made me feel intimidated, demeaned and I dealt / still deal with harassment from it. They brought me up in senate as a agenda item while I served as a senator. I had never felt so alone in a room full of ppl.
Ive been asking for an apology cuz I believe that I am owed one by dal senate & dal board. My parents are owed an apology for what you put me through. I graduated even though I was being harassed daily. If you can please tweet at @DalPres @DalhousieU to apologize to me formally

Enough is enough. Settlers of Mi’kmaq territory you should be ashamed. I am ashamed of all the racialized settlers who remain silent. We have come to this land with the audacity to think that it is ours?!? It is NOT. This is UNCEDED UNSURRENDERED MI’KMAQ TERRITORY. #Mikmaki 1/5
EVERY benefit we reap from this land is due to the Mi’kmaq nations generosity. WE ARE IN DEBTED TO THEM! THE LEAST YOU CAN DO IS SAY SOMETHING ABOUT ABOUT THE WHITE SUPREMACIST TERRORISM THAT IS HAPPENING IN Saulnieville. #ModerateLivelihood #Mikmaki 2/5
Why so silent as you watch white supremacy manifest? Because you benefit off of it. You benefit off of violating Mi’kmaq rights. I am a displaced #pashtun born/raised in #Mikmaki . my oral code taught me abt the love, care and solidarity I am to have with Mi’kmaq people 3/5

@DalPres I want a public apology. I have waited 3 years and have dealt with on going repercussions for being an anti racist student from @DalhousieU. I am now a @Dal_Alumni it is time you own up. I do not want a subtweet. Stop dehumanizing me. #WhiteFragilityCanKissMyASS
This is ONE example of the types of harm I encountered. Because @DalhousieU chose to discipline me for challenging white supremacy and made white students feel uncomfortable due to their #WhiteFragility now you’re encouraging students to read this book @DalStudentLife @DalPres Image
Even after your disrespectful subtweet apology I met with student affairs and nothing came of it. @DalPres you need to deal with this. Florizone and a bunch of other admin out you in this position. I would suggest you correct it. If you don’t it’s clear you uphold white supremacy Image
