1/ I keep hearing cable news pundits wrongly tell viewers that voters cannot observe the polls unless they are trained poll watchers. That is misinformation. It varies by state, but elections are meant to be transparent with public oversight! 
2/ Check your state law. It likely provides transparency for public involvement at the polls. GA and SC permit public in to watch all activities in the polls. Don't leave the public observation to the bad guys . The good guys need to show up to ensure adequate oversight!
3/ I fear that pundits are trying to discourage some trouble makers from going to polls. Best way to do that is to have the good guys there to observe, exercising their rights to do so.
4/ Please note that I am NOT talking about credentialed poll watchers but members of the public with the "credentials" of being a good human being. That is plenty enough credentials to help oversee election fairness!
