Here is a thread of everything you need to know about the last day of Early Voting and a peek at what's ahead for Election Day in Harris County. #HarrisVotes#HouNews
Voters can vote at any of 122 Voting Centers. Our website shows you the closest location to you as well as wait times at that location and other nearby locations. It's pretty great, tbh. HarrisVotes.com/Locations
Today is the final day that voters can vote via limited ballot. That can only be done @nrgpark and in person. Limited ballots are for voters who recently moved to Harris County from another Texas county but haven't yet updated their voter registration.
Vote by Mail ballot drop-off at NRG -- Gate 9 for cars, Gate 2 for pedestrians -- is open:
- Friday until 7 p.m.
- CLOSED this weekend
- 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday
- 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Election Day
Vote by Mail ballot drop-off will also be available at all County Annexes on Election Day, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Find those locations at cclerk.hctx.net/ContactUs.aspx
Reminder that only the voter can drop off their own ballot. It cannot be delivered by someone else. The voter will present their ID and give their signature.
If you have been waiting for your Vote by Mail ballot to arrive or to be received by our office and it still hasn't happened, plan to vote in-person today or on Election Day. Once we see that your mail ballot was not received, your provisional ballot will be counted.
Or if you still have your ballot and wish to vote in person, you can do that. Just bring your ballot with you and surrender it to the election clerk, then vote!
You can track your Vote by Mail ballot at HarrisVotes.com/Tracking. If it doesn't show as received and you mailed it a while ago, call us at 713-755-6965 for assistance.
If a voter is unable to make it to a Voting Center due to illness, contact us immediately to see if they qualify for an emergency ballot. 713-755-6965.
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. We will have more than 800 Voting Centers available. Our wait time feature on our website will be crucial for voters to figure out where to vote with the shortest wait: HarrisVotes.com/Locations, switch the toggle to "Election Day" to see locations.
Questions and concerns should be directed to 713-755-6965!

Drive-thru voting is a safe, secure, and convenient way to vote. Texas Election Code allows it, and the Secretary of State approved it.
Here are a few other things to know about Drive Thru Voting (a 🧵)
Voter suppression is intense, but Drive Thru Voting is actually in tents.
Drive Thru Voting creates a different “structure” for a polling location. The tents are similar to stadiums, community centers, and other places that are typically used for voting centers.
You can also get an idea of how Drive Thru Voting works from this video:
Good morning and welcome to the final week of #EarlyVoting! Voting Centers are open until 7 p.m. today, but there are changes ahead! Rather than our usual GIF post, this is your thread for voting this week, whether you’re a seasoned pro or a voting newcomer. #HarrisVotes
Note the change in hours this week:
- Today and Friday are 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Tuesday-Thursday are 7 a.m.-10 p.m. at ALL locations.
- Also on Thursday, EIGHT locations will open at 7 a.m. and won’t close until 7 p.m. Friday. #HarrisVotes
We’re calling this 24-Hour Voting, though, yes, it is technically 36 straight hours of voting at these eight locations. The point is that these locations will be open overnight to serve shift workers. #HarrisVotes
As Voting Centers close on another record-breaking day in Harris County, let's pause to consider the poor souls who aren't even on Twitter! They're not here to hear our #VOTE screams! They cannot see the GIFs! So, where are they?
There are still 1.4 million people registered to vote in Harris County that haven't yet voted. Some have made plans to vote. Some don't even know they're registered. Some don't think their vote matters. Consider how YOU might help them this weekend.
