We know how it is done. With lies and make believe, and divisive demagoguery.
Nobody wrecked a nation like Modi did with his stupid Demonetization, and he repeated his folly by his abrupt no-warning, no-preparation and no brainer of a lockdown. Yet he got a renewed mandate. In America a bigger demagogue and megalomaniac has
been brought down, by just a slim margin.
"Whatever the final election results, much of the world—and much of the United States—will be stunned by the fact that a populist demagogue and friend to autocrats around the globe will have won more votes
than any presidential candidate in American history, save for Barack Obama in 2008 and Joe Biden in 2020. Scholars, analysts, and foreign diplomats will struggle for years to explain how Trump, in the wake of the most dismal performance managing the
pandemic of any advanced democratic leader, and facing the most moderate, least polarizing Democratic candidate imaginable, could have come within roughly three percentage points of winning the popular vote and at worst only narrowly missed winning the Electoral College."
Tomorrow, 8th November 2020 is the fourth anniversary when almost all of India got collectively raped for holding 500/1000 Rupee notes.
In an address to the nation at 8 p.m. Narendra Modi told the country that he is cancelling the 500/1000 Rupee Notes as of midnight tonight. And that they are now useless pieces of paper.
The reasons given for this 'demonetization' were;
1
. 500/1000 Rupee notes are creating corruption. 2. Terrorists have these notes in large quantities. 3. Kashmiri's throwing stones were being paid 500 notes. 4. High denomination notes made corruption easier.
Here is a man, who has dropped out of school. They know that he is just 9th Pass. Yet, he is the son of one time CM of Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav. He was the Deputy CM before Nitish Kumar's Antar
Atma decided to act up. Overnight he was thrown out and betrayed and Nitish Kumar formed a government with BJP, a party that it fought elections against in 2015.
This man now heads the RJD. His father is in jail. He travels by a helicopter. He
sits with the likes of Rahul Gandhi and is fact a larger partner in the Grand Alliance.
This man promises 1 Million Jobs at the first cabinet meeting because so many vacancies exist in the system. He speaks only on this subject. They know that he might not deliver the whole pie
In 1991, soon after the coup attempt that confined Mikhail Gorbachev to a villa in Sochi, India's MEA still very Soviet influenced, got PM PV Narasimha Rao to make a comment to the extent that Gorbachev was paying the price for
rushing in the "reforms" much too fast. The dominant influences in the MEA refused to consider the possibility of the USSR demising.
The circumstances in the USA are entirely different but still not dissimilar. Trump is being swept out of office
(despite Modi campaigning for him) but he is not going to go easily. According to the US Constitution and convention he should go by Jan 20. But it is quite likely he might squat in the White House for longer. Modi should lie low and India should at best issue an anodyne
In the late 1970s, a dynamic young lady in her 20s was deeply upset & disillusioned. Born in a typical Indian middle class family, she had aspired to become a Doctor, but when she was unable to clear the medical entrance exams, she chose to pursue a degree in
Zoology. Later, she again tried applying for medical schools abroad, but when she couldn't get a scholarship, she decided to pursue masters degree in fermentation science at an Australia University.
I generally refrain from writing on any religion. I consider one's caste, creed, color, race, religion and country just an accident of birth.
To me, the most important thing in a persons life is his economic well being and independence.
To me poverty is the biggest problem that humanity faces. To me ways and means to free people from the clutches of poverty is the only thing that requires attention. To me, economic independence is real independence. To me a life of dignity is more important than anything else.
To me the reason for economic crisis is because we want to benefit from the labor of others and not on merit or hard work of our own. I fundamentally believe that for someone to get rich, others need not get poorer. I believe that policy driven by some rich people is .
