Earlier today, the ES NCDMB, Engr. @wabote_simbi rep by the GM, RSD NCDMB, Mr. Abdulmalik Halilu via zoom, participated and delivered a speech at the closing ceremony of the NCDMB GSM Software, Hardware and Entrepreneurship Training in Bekwarra/Obudu/Obanliku, Cross-River State. 
While delivering his speech, the ES NCDMB, Engr. @wabote_simbi rep by the Board’s GM on RSD, Mr. Abdulmalik Halilu said “I’m delighted to make this address to you on your graduation today as the beneficiaries of the NCDMB GSM Training Program in Cross-Rivers State”.
“Beyond the GSM training program, some of you must have seen our footprints in Odukpani where we are also building the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industrial Park”. - Engr. @wabote_simbi
“We have taken statistics of youth unemployment and we’ve reached a conclusion that the oil and gas industry even at full capacity cannot absorb all the unemployed youths in Nigeria, that’s why we have come up with this youth empowerment...,

“We needed to have a paradigm shift because we’ve seen that classroom training doesn’t lead to successful entrepreneurship and that is why beyond what we are celebrating today, that is the graduation from the classroom...,

“The model we applied for this training is, the classroom training, apprentices/Mentorship phase until they are able to settle down to start entrepreneurship life and we believe the good youths of cross river state will make us proud”. - Engr. @wabote_simbi
“Inline with our end to end process, NCDMB designed the training program to provide opportunities for the youths based on our unique delivery model which entails a classroom training (software & hardware models, entrepreneurship development), provision of starter packs...,
...renting of shops, market linkages, mentorship and provision of stipends throughout the training program. We will ensure you register as cooperative as that is the only way you can have access to capital”. - Engr. @wabote_simbi
“Our expectation is that through this delivery model we will develop a pool of local challenge in GSM phone development and software development”. - Engr. @wabote_simbi
“Nigerian Content intervention cut across the 6 Geopolitical zones of the country, so I encourage the youths of Cross-River State to register on the Board’s NOGICJQS portal, that is the access door to the oil and gas industry”. - Engr. @wabote_simbi
Engr. @wabote_simbi acknowledged the effort of the HMSPR @FMPRng, @HETimipreSylva “My heartfelt appreciation goes to the HMSPR, who has made sure that we empower youths. This initiative is on the back of Mr. President’s (@MBuhari) agenda to create 100million jobs”.
“I appreciate the Chairman, House committee on Nigerian Content, Hon. Legor Idagbo for always looking at ways to create employment for our youths, that is part of the drive that has led us to where we are today”. - Engr. @wabote_simbi

The representative of @NITDANigeria, Dr. Usman Gambo, in his remarks said, the participants have shown that they are ready to take on the next challenge. He urged them to make the best of this opportunity, and ensure them that the Board is going to be with them for a long time.
“Let me assure you that NCDMB is going to be with us for a long period of time and so, we will hold you, mentor you until you become successful in whatever you have decided to do with the various aspect of this program”. - Dr. Usman Gambo
He appreciated the Executive Secretary NCDMB, Engr. @wabote_simbi and the Chairman, House Committee on Nigerian Content, Hon. Legor Idagbo for organizing this program.

While responding, the Chairman, House Committee on Nigerian Content, Hon. Legor Idagbo said he is very honored to be part and parcel of this wonderful program.
Hon. Legor further encouraged the participants that his office and the Board will do all within their powers to ensure that they will set them up on a very solid footing.
He said he is very happy with the way the participants have taken the program, the attention and commitment they’ve shown throughout the weeks of the program. “I’m very optimistic that they are ready to work and that they ready to be successful”.
He appreciated the Executive Secretary NCDMB, Engr. @wabote_simbi for his role in training of the youths “I have never for once doubted the leadership of NCDMB led by Engr. @wabote_simbi. I commend the entire Board and its management staff”.
“Today, NCDMB is one of the Federal agencies in Nigeria that is really doing well, that means well for the people, not only in the oil and gas sector but other sectors. They’ve created jobs by given Nigerians a chance to also create wealth for themselves”. - Hon. Legor
