With the help of a pliable Monterey County Superior Court judge Adrienne Grover.
MoCo judges are some of the most corrupt.

And corrupt @JerryBrownGov who handed out the most suspicious pardon in California's recent history broke a norm for?
"An earlier opportunity to reunite the family was missed when Carrie Panetta was passed over for appointment to the 6th District Court of Appeal in 2012."
This is Jimmy, with criminal Mike Bitar, who has been paying Jimmy, his consultant Plasha Will, and #Carmel Mayor Dave Potter $100,000 ++ to lube the local #marijuana scene while making money on the back end.
No one in the local "paid" journalism world in Monterey County has been vocal about this. Not once. With the exception of @Calkins_Royal who writes for @VoicesofBay.
If Monterey County wasn't such a rigged community - politically - a corrupt politician like @RepJimmyPanetta wouldn't get 75% of the vote when he clearly has ethical and legal problems and has done nothing about the organized crime problem in the region. @CNN
.@BernieSanders won in Monterey County during the primary. @JimmyPanetta does not represent those voters. Panetta more closely represents the tens of thousands who voted for Trump.
Like his good friends the Orradres and the Dufflocks. (oil money) who installed a crooked

deputy as Sheriff of Monterey County
Panetta's consultant received a multi-million dollar home in Carmel Valley from a rich Packard heir for a bargain, after living in it as a rental 4 a few years and after dumping her own property to foreclosure - not unlike Sheriff Bernal.
"The Ugly: Potter has made some questionable financial decisions in his private life, and the supervisors are responsible for a $1.2 billion budget."
Sort of a skimp on what Dave Potter has done.
He lives in a multi-million dollar house in the beautiful Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Potter's house prior to that was a home owned by Land Use Attorney Tony Lombardo -who acted as the bank on the loan. We don't know if Potter paid anything to be fair. The attorney was the bank.

"He said at the time it was for estate planning purposes, but it also conveniently would’ve protected his assets"
Never investigated by the Monterey County District Attorney for corruption - despite this red flag.
"Eyebrow-raising Funders: He’s raked in so much Big Ag dough, it’s hard to pick. D’Arrigo Bros., Mann Packing, Taylor Farms, Church Brothers and Gowan Seed Company are among those that gave $20K each;"

I just wanted to let you know that I for one appreciate the new look and leadership at The Herald.
Especially in your well-balanced and fair editorials.

I find the new changes a welcome breath of fresh air and plan to renew my subscription after a three-year hiatus. Keep up the good work and thanks again."
emboldened by a lawless Sheriff who got the boot in 2010.
This scumbag, Mike Kanalakis was a favorite of the Cannery Row boys, even though he sued one of them for a slip and fall at one the 'cooks of Cannery Row's homes.
ANY department that would hire back and promote a deputy FIRED and charged with TWO FELONIES by the MoCo DA (who later, quietly dropped the charges) cannot be trusted until a federal report comes out, informing us.
