1. It's difficult to say the truth about events in Nigeria but as a believer in the prosperity of the Nigerian project, I'll dig into the truthfulness of the #ENDSARS even though it'll meet an unpleasant place in the body of some so-called Nigerian youths involved in the protest.
2. The protest when officially began was to detest the brutality and harassment by the SARS unit of the @PoliceNG Nigerian police force.
3. The protest saw many young Nigerians on streets across the nation majorly in the Southern part of the country as the agitation centered otherwise in the Northern part of Nigeria.
4. The agitation about total dissolvement of the SARS unit and an overhaul reform of the Nigerian Police Force to be accountable took different dimensions on particularly the youth who showed up on various streets which includes but not limited to:
i. Armed robbers that were being frustrated by the existence of SARS because of how disgracefully they torture them which they think as a regular customer of the SARS unit, it should be business as usual but the SARS squad continue to frustrate their operations.
ii. The Yahoo Yahoo boys who are always involved in countless cyber offenses and who the SARS unit of the Nigerian police bill illegally on the wealth they acquired either seeing them with the iPhone, in exotic cars, or dressing expensively. Some making dying their hairs...
iii. The young ladies who have been taken away by the materialistic items given to them by the Yahoo boys or ladies directly involved in the cyber fraud also lend their voices in the protest.
iv. Celebrities and social media influencers who are after their interest. Don't quote me wrong, there are well-meaning influencers who participated in the protest based on patriotism to end the police brutality.
v. The opposition who are desperate to portray the weakness of the present government also given in to the protest since it has successfully manifested from social media agitation to real-life protest.
vi. Citizens who are on the brink of breaking Nigeria's unity in the part of the country who falsely claimed that have been marginalised also use the protest as an opportunity to show their displeasure in the call to end police brutality.
vi. These are young citizens who frowned upon the gross irresponsibility of the SARS operating squad and want a better nation free of police brutalisation who ought to be the friend of citizens as they always promote themselves to.
These particular set of protesters are the least in the #ENDSARS struggle.

5. The reason why the protest lasts longer is that it involves money juicily collected by the SARS police illegally which has also reached its climax by the majority of the citizens.
6. So coming back to the ASUU strike, ASUU as an organization is not requesting money from the parents, students, or their various universities' management.
They are requesting it from the government which has less priority for education because the vast majority of the Nigerian populace is ignorant of the value of education.
7. The university students only want the strike to be suspended/called-off virtually by showing their grievances online and are not ready to take up the street to register their displeasure and demand for qualitative education from the government.
Now that you have learnt why the #ENDSARS protest trend than #EndASUUStrike now, follow @MI_Adeyemi to learn about education, leadership and politics. Thank you.
