When President Muhammadu Buhari was campaigning for the 2015 general elections, he and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) made several promises to the electorate.

1. Ban on government officials from going abroad for medical treatment:

2. Creation of three million jobs per year: FAILED❌

Instead of creating three million jobs per year which could have culminated in a total of 21 million jobs in seven years, the unemployment rate under the Buhari administration has increased tremendously.
3. Creation of a Social Welfare Programme where a minimum of N5000 would be paid to 25 million poorest and most vulnerable citizens: FAILED❌

How you can take care of yourself after a break-up.

1. DON'T FIGHT YOUR FEELINGS: A break-up is often accompanied by a wide variety of feelings including sadness, anger, confusion, resentment, jealousy, fear and regret, etc. Healthy coping means, both identifying these feelings and allowing yourself to experience them.
2. OPENLY DISCUSS YOUR FEELINGS: Talking about your feelings related to the break-up is an equally powerful tool to manage them. As you talk to supportive friends and family members, you can come to some new understandings and relieve yourself of some of the pain.

Toxic Relationship

What distinguishes a consultant in medicine to that woman who sells agbo ( herbal medicine) by the roadside is simply ‘POSITIONING’

what distinguishes a cobbler who owns a shop and a brand name and probably repairs shoes to that mallam that roams about using a stick to hit a wooden box to attract customers who wants to repair their shoes is simply ‘POSITIONING’

The list goes on and on.
But at least, you've got a hint of what I mean right? Good!

Now, why is POSITIONING important? 😀

You see, as a business owner, the quality of the services you render and even the pay you receive for a job you just delivered is judged by the way you position yourself

Healthy relationships aren't born, they're developed through attention and effort. Knowing each other's love languages takes effort. The key is to regularly communicate with your partner and ask what they need from you...
My love language is quality time. My wife knows there are few things I want more from her except quality time.
Laying next to her. Talking to her. Loving her. That's my love language. BUT it's not my only love language...
None of us have just ONE love language. We need all five. All of us needs quality time, words of affirmation, physical touch, acts of service or gifts in our lives.
See, our love languages change. What I need from my wife today might be different tomorrow...

1. It's difficult to say the truth about events in Nigeria but as a believer in the prosperity of the Nigerian project, I'll dig into the truthfulness of the #ENDSARS even though it'll meet an unpleasant place in the body of some so-called Nigerian youths involved in the protest.
2. The protest when officially began was to detest the brutality and harassment by the SARS unit of the @PoliceNG Nigerian police force.

Welcome to my thread ✍😊

As we all know (even if you are knowing now), our book for October is WHOLENESS by @toureroberts .

This thread is to share some lessons from the book review

Inner security is vital on our way to wholeness.

How is this gotten?

By rising above insecurity which meansthe fear of rejection, being unsafe, unshielded and unprotected.

Wholeness heals insecurity.
It is composed of the God of wholeness which also entails unconditional love.
Four steps to uproot an insecurity:
1) Discern the feelings.

2) Identify the thought behind it: Feelings are traceable to thoughts.

3) Name the storyteller and debunk the lie: If the thought doesn't come from God, it's a lie.

Know that hurt people hurt people.

INTERESTING story found on don't want to miss. (A thread)
Joe Biden and his first wife, Neilia, had three children: Hunter, Beau and Naomi.
In 1972, Neilia and Naomi, died in a car accident. Joe eventually married a woman named Jill (his current wife).
He already knew her because she had been Hunter's babysitter at the time of the car accident. (Yeah, THAT seems normal- marry the babysitter). They had a daughter named Ashley. Ashley lives 'a quiet life' and is frequently in and out of rehab for various substance abuse issues.

A key understanding of the tax structure, which operates in Nigeria is quite important to ensure tax compliance.

What are the taxes applicable to startups in Nigeria?

Question: I had a very good grade(1:1/2:1), sent my essays to many scholars and they okayed it, and I also made many applications yet they were all unsuccessful. Why?
Short answer: I don't know.

Long answer: Were your references as good as the rest of your application?

Who is writing your reference letters? Is it some prof who is very busy and would just write you a lousy reference letter? Or is it some prof who never really liked you to start with?
Don't select a referee simply because they were your professor. Being your prof doesn't automatically equate to being in the best position to speak about how qualified you are for a scholarship. If they do not know you well enough, they can't speak very well about your abilities.

Question: How many scholarships should I apply for before I can stand a chance?

Short answer: As many as possible.
Long answer: #athread

The more applications you submit, the higher your chances of landing one or many scholarships.

Here is the mantra I live by; "if you meet the minimum qualifications for a scholarship, give it a shot- your best shot!" I've had people ask me, this person graduated with a minimum 2:1, he had 3.5/5 CGPA, how did he win a scholarship? He applied, and his story resonated with..
the scholarship/admission panel. You do not know which scholarship panel your story will resonate with and that is the reason why you have to keep submitting those applications.
Over the course of 4 years, I made 30 applications and I failed in 26 of them (story for another day).

I was kidnapped by Fulani men on my way from the farm and my fiancée who was driving the car was shot and killed. I regained my freedom after my parents paid the ransom.

After the incidence, I withdrew into a shell and just wanted to be left alone. I got tired of everyone asking to know how it happened. It was painful and traumatic having to relive the experience each time I talk about it.

Few days after my release...
I heard two people had been abducted again -- one from the same town and another from a neighbouring town. Interestingly, even I was expecting to hear about it on the news and learn what the government had done about it.

Alas! There was only silence...Just as I have been silent.

I am convinced that naija and Africa as a whole, do not care much for history and it reflects in the entertainment. I’m laying here wondering why countless movies about some of the greatest Kings, Queens, and times in African history are not being made? #AThread Image
I often wonder why I am able to find titles upon titles of movies to watch about one of my favorite Queens, Mary Queen of Scots, I can’t find one single good one about the likes of Queen Amina, Nzinga, Amanirenas and so much more?
I wonder why, I have seen Poseidon inserted into many movies, hell, his trident has become some sort of symbol for the sea, but I am yet to see Yemoja in one blockbuster. Just one! Are we not able to tell our own stories?
