It has been 11 days since Donald Trump lost the presidential election and his supporters, including his Canadian admirers, are continuing to take the news poorly. 1/23
As the reality of his loss has become apparent, the most extreme continue to retreat into a fantasy world where their echo chamber is their truth. 2/23
If it is at all possible, the claims being made by those who have not, and likely will never, accept Trump's resounding defeat have become even more outlandish. 3/23
Today in Washington DC, the impotent rage has culminated in the Million Maga March For Trump which appears to have missed the million mark by a mere 995,000 people. 4/23
For days she has been promoting this and other rallies in support of Trump's efforts to overturn the results of the election. 17/23
However, the mask accidently slips when she tweets and retweets these. 18/23
If the election is being stolen from Trump, why is she suggesting Trump made mistakes trying to appeal to non-white voters? After all, according to Goldy etal he won so there must not have been any mistakes.
Unless... she doesn't actually believe her own lies? 19/23
Perhaps there is another reason, besides Ms. Goldy's own attraction to authoritarianism, that she is pushing the lie that Trump won the election?
To understand a possible motive let's take a look at Goldy's former co-worker Lauran Southern. 20/23
As a result of her infamy, Southern claims to be, de facto, barred from the United States (she is absolutely barred from the UK, but that is another matter). 21/23
No far be it for me to suggest that Goldy (who thinks herself a big fish in a small pond) is concerned about her continued ability to monetize herself to her fans, but being barred from her biggest market would likely put a damper on her reach and thus her income. 22/23
In any case, I expect the histrionics to continue for some time.
Also, a gentle reminder to people that Trumpism isn't dead so maybe don't sit back in the belief that is is over. As we have seen for decades, the struggle against authoritarianism is never over. 23/23
Just noticed this as as it is related I figured I would share.
They continue to insist that there were more than a million people in Washington DC and provide photos as evidence. 1.0/1.5
Now at least one, perhaps two, of those photographs of very closely cropped images that are from the event that cut out the empty areas where no one is located. 1.1/
As I see that Andy Ngo is still trending I thought I would share my brief, though enlightening, encounter with the man.
People who have followed this account will be well aware that I was doxxed in early January 2020. 1/24
After I was doxxed, I posted a final entry to the blog before turning it fully over to @VestsCanada. 2/24
While I received an outpouring of support and thanks from people who had followed the blog for years, there were a small number of individuals who attacked me.
I apologize for the delay but we have our winner in the "Most Cringeworthy Canadian Hateriot Gang Name". 1/16
In fourth place, the club named after a slow-moving extinct mammal known for getting stuck in tar pits, the Calgary-based The Mammoths. 2/16
The Mammoths were founded by Jeremy Clarke. Previously he was the Alberta Northern Guard provincial leader before being pushed out. Kyle Puchalski became provincial leader after. The relationship between the Mammoths and Northern Guard is acrimonious to say the least. 3/16
