.@UtahDepOfHealth is reporting 541 #COVID19 patients currently hospitalized. 201 of those patients are in the ICU. At referral centers (where most covid patients are being treated) the ICU beds are 89.9% occupied. @fox13 #utpol #Utah

Under a bill that's being introduced in the #utleg, physicians who want to recommend medical cannabis can for up to 15 patients without having to go through @UtahDepOfHealth required licensing: fox13now.com/news/local-new… @fox13 #utpol #Utah
.@utahpatients says that will help bring more physicians on-board with recommending medical cannabis and end a problem of "doctor shopping" that we've seen lately: fox13now.com/news/local-new… @fox13 #utpol #Utah
The new bill also envisions a doctor just being able to refer someone to a cannabis dispensary (we call them "pharmacies" in Utah). Pharmacist can handle dosing, etc. fox13now.com/news/local-new… @fox13 #utpol #Utah

@CandicePierucci is presenting a bill right now that would put caps on "emergency procurement."

.@CandicePierucci is proposing limits on emergency procurement. Basically you get 30 days and then it diverts back to a public bid process.

@UtahGOMB says it has no issues with her bill. @fox13 #utpol #Utah #COVID19
.@CandicePierucci says after the 30-day period, there's a more competitive bid process that is more transparent.
