12:22 pm, Time stamp reads 18:31:58 - we are getting closer. #EndSARS

We are starting to see some activity, in clear view, protestors can be seen, some running away and others trying to create a barrier between them an the military. The atmosphere in the court room just got intense @ARISEtv #EndSARS

12:40 pm - the protesters on the other side of the gate and the military continues to slowly close in on them. I feel a tight knot in my chest 🥺 #EndSARS

There’s a time discrepancy, the legal counsel for the protesters calls it out and asks them to follow the correct time stamp. Whole court is in disarray now, how did we jump from 6:49 to 7:03? Pitying the guy handling the projector, everyone’s shouting at the poor guy😂 #ENDSARS

We are back on track now. It’s evening so it’s look like we are on night mode as images now appear in black and white. For some reason, it makes the footage even more chilling to watch #ENDSARS

Time stamp reads 19:24 - it’s getting harder to see now but the zoom effect on the camera actually shows protesters running towards the water. Remember the man @ARISEtv interviewed that said he had to swim to Ikoyi to save his life?? Ok now, we are still watching #ENDSARS

19:45 - the huge glare you see at the top right corner of the screen is a fire that has gradually become bigger. Please note that the military had taken full control of the area at this point. The footage stops at 19:59, only a few minutes left now #Endsars

19:48 Who started the fire?!! #EndSARS

17:59 - No civilian in sight, military ti take over. The PTZ camera has stopped panning, zooming or tilting. This speaks to someone manually operating it, but there was no LCC staff present at the time. How is that possible? 🤔 #ENDSARS

It’s now 2:01 pm - Video is done, panel calls for a recess but not before Ogunlana requests for another video that apparently hasn’t been shown in court today. #ENDSARS

2:58 panel is back from recess. Legal counsel for military want their client to take the stand, Ogunlana insists they provide his missing video first. There’s some back and forth, deliberations among interested parties. What will it be? #ENDSARS

Looks like the Nigerian army will be taking the stand. Let the cross examination begin.. #ENDSARS

After General Taiwo says police were under attack on the 20th l, EndSARS Legal counsel, Olumide Fusika proceeds to ask the General to explain, “how 3 stations burning down show the NPF was overwhelmed” he states that other police stations they were burnt down before 2 PM #Endsars

Fusika: I can prove to you that there was no emergency that permitted the military being at the #LekkiTollGate on the 20th of October”
Gen. Taiwo: “You sir, must be living on the moon then” - #ENDSARS

Fusika: “Are you aware that the military denied being at the #LekkiTollGate?”

Gen. Taiwo: “The army wasn’t sure what happened and was trying to get its facts”

@InibeheEffiong briefly speaks with Fusika before he calls the Generals’ attention to a tweet on the @HQNigerianArmy denying they were there. General Taiwo says he will get to opening a Twitter account later in the day. #ENDSARS

Fusika: “Did you shoot at protesters”
Gen. Taiwo: “No we didn’t, there’s a difference e.g laughing at or laughing with people”

Fusika: “As seen on the footage why did you wait for it to get dark before you approached the protestors”
Gen. Taiwo: “It wasn’t dark”

Gen. Taiwo: Vehicles
Fusika: You couldn’t have trekked, did you go with guns?

Fusika: “There was no evidence of the military being pelted and stoned as stated in your testimony by the protesters, why is that?”
Gen. Taiwo: “The camera has panned away by that time” OMOOOOOO

Fusika is not backing down on this one, according to him there is no part in the footage that shows the army being attacked by protestors. #ENDSARS

He further argues that based on his testimony, the LCC Footage doesn’t show every account of the occurrences of the night of the 20th, in response Gen. Taiwo argues that what has been played in court today corroborates the version of the Nigerian Army’s’ story #ENDSARS

Fusika: “Who started the fire?”
Gen. Taiwo: “Hoodlums of course”
Fusika: “I’m putting it to you sir, you’re telling me hoodlums started a fire so close to the military and they didn’t do anything? Your men were aware.”
Gen Taiwo: “I don’t think so”

They have dragged @jidesanwoolu into it now. General Taiwo testifies that the statement the Lagos state Governor made about 27 people being killed/injured is false, in his words, “He must have received false information” - #EndSARS

Fusika steps down, Adesina Ogunlana takes over cross examination. Look at bare notessss. Mr. O is ready to goooooo #ENDSARS

After about 20 minutes of questioning, Mr. O requests for a video to be played. In vision on the projector is the popular video from the 20th that went viral showing the army shooting directly at protestors. #ENDSARS

After watching the videos that the protesters made that night, Gen. Taiwo insists that they had been manipulated to make it look like they ‘the army’ shot at people. Military legal counsel objects but is confronted my Mr. O #EndSARS

Mr. O is done asking questions, a representative from the Nigerian Bar Association requests to also cross examine General Taiwo. His request is granted!! #ENDSARS

Representing the Nigerian Bar Association is Mr. Bernard Onigah, he seeks to ask General a few questions as it way past the closing time for the panel, I’ll highlight some of them. #ENDSARS

Onigah: If your objective was to respond to attacks happening at Ajah/Epe axis, if you knew about an alt. route would you have taken it?
Gen T:We were not aware of any
Onigah:There was one right where your vehicles were parked at Oniru, all you had to do was turn left #EndSARS

Onigah: Is opening fire, the normal procedure of the military in reaction to being pelted with stones?
Gen T: Yes it is
Onigah: There was no other means of stopping them?
Gen T: There wasn’t..

With no other witness coming forward, it looks like we are slowly coming to the end of today’s proceedings. Deliberations going on with the panel, legal counsel for the army and #Endsars protesters.

Finally at 6:15 pm the panel comes to an end, the request by LCC to gain access to the #LekkiTollgateto evaluate the damage to file an insurance report has been denied and will reviewed again over the next two weeks.
