Around a month ago, @PaikCapital released his "Agency Course"

It was $50 at launch and I picked it up.

It was 10 hours of content. I was expecting 2.

A month in, I've generated 40x ROI w/ 2 clients while in college.

1/ What's an agency?

The great thing about the course is how widely applicable it is.

An agency is an organization that helps businesses with certain tasks.

Here's just a small list of potential areas:

- SEO
- Email marketing
- Lead generation
- Social media design
2/ Why does it work?

There are millions of small businesses in America.

The space will never be saturated.

They specialize in doing their jobs, you can specialize in helping them with their pain points they don't control.

Here's where market research comes in
3/ Research

One of the reasons I love to experiment is because these courses have lessons you can apply anywhere.

One of the lessons was to understand what your target niche wants.

Tutors have different needs than landscapers.
Dentists have different goals than plumbers.
4/ Cold Email

Learn how to:

Write killer first lines
Craft subject lines that get clicks
Create an offer that makes sense

Then focus on converting.

The biggest key is persistence:

- 100 cold emails sent
- 15 calls booked
- 2 clients booked (6 calls left)
5/ I don't want to completely take Matt's course and put it out here.

But I do think it's severely underpriced on Gumroad.

It's #12 on Gumroad education with over 123 5 Star Reviews.

In the past month, seen over 10+ other students add tons of clients.

To be a better creator of any medium, note-taking will be your accelerator.

1. Reduce, friction!

Like your physical environment, make your digital processes smooth.

Install Instapaper, Pocket or the browser plug-in of your note-taking app of choice.

Whenever you see something interesting, save it without second thought.
2. Highlights + Active Reading

In your read-it-later app of choice (Instapaper recommended), now go through the saved articles and decide which are high priority.

Delete the others to keep a clean inbox.

Marie had come across Notion a couple of times, but it didn't stick until she worked on her permaculture certificate and needed a gallery.

Lesson: A project is the best way to learn Notion, just like a project is the best way to learn how to code.

@mariepoulin realized that if people just took all their information from Asana or Evernote and pasted it into Notion, nothing would change.

You would have the same system. To be more productive, you need to build workflows.

When I started podcasting this summer, I was nervous, and the definition of awkward

Taking Write of Passage, I became good friends with @robbiecrab.

Robbie transformed my life by teaching me how to be a better speaker, and more importantly a better communicator

While in Write of Passage, Robbie and I came up with an idea to have daily writing accountability groups.

3-4 people on a call writing in silence and debriefing everyone of their progress in the end.

We tested it ourselves first.
2/

Every morning, 5 of us would get on a call and write. A 5 minute briefing, 60 minutes of focus and a 5 minute debriefing.

Even after Write of Passage ended, the tradition continued.

We introduced others to the idea as well and the community grew.
