49 years ago yesterday #DBCooper successfully perpetrated the most famous unsolved skyjacking crime. Or did he? I provided legal counsel to cold case team that believes we solved the mystery.

Tonight, I'm discussing new @TheHisotry program on case.

washingtonpost.com/local/how-the-…
2/ I've worked this case for several years. Our cold case team incl experts in law, law enforcement, forensics, cryptology, journalism & other relevant areas. First hand witnesses were interviewed & we were regularly in touch with @FBI.
3/I had no idea @TheHisotry was producing program. No one connected to it reached out to our cold case team, which was more than 40 people.

There are many theories abt hijacking & I was surprised they didn't contact us if only to compare notes. Our efforts were high profile.
4/First thing I noticed is that @history's expert is basing much of his new research on 2016 lawsuit I filed & am still litigating today. @FBI releases new docs every month.

Would have been nice to at least been thanked 😉

5/"New" #DBCooper @history program searches for his parachute. Yet never once mentions we made similar effort & FOUND pieces of a parachute. I personally arranged for these items to be turned into @FBI for testing. What did FBI find? Never revealed.

seattlepi.com/seattlenews/ar…
6/@History published this article earlier this month abt #DBCooper's "letters" yet, surprisingly, failed to discuss all work done by Cold Case team linking #RobertRackstraw as hijacker.

history.com/news/db-cooper…
7/How do you ignore this evidence @History?

courthousenews.com/db-cooper-sleu…
8/ No suspect can be proven to be #DBCooper without eliminating #RobertRackstraw.

oregonlive.com/history/2018/0…
9/Much of @History program hypes former FBI agent's opinion on their primary suspect & DNA test. Respectfully, not impressed. She wasn't part of Seattle Field Office which ran investigation. She was tasked w/one suspect interview. Her opinion offers very little expertise.
10/We had former FBI agents who were part of #DBCooper investigative team who agreed that #RobertRackstraw was hijacker.

SPOILER ALERT: I will be revealing final ending of this @history program.

FACT: You're better off reading it here than wasting 120 minutes of your life.
11/Interesting background info provided by @History parachute expert (and this is impt expert to include) but of course his opinion - notwithstanding what program advocate states - is they didn't find any piece of #DBCooper parachute.
12/#SheridanPeterson is @History primary & only suspect in program. It looks like contemporaneous photos bear similarity to @DBCooper sketch. Personally, I think #RobertRackstraw photos are much closer but candidly eyewitness testimony, esp under stress, is inherently unreliable.
13/ This interview of Peterson, the primary suspect, is virtually worthless. Not sure what @History thought evidentiary value was.

I did think his "I miss Obama" hat was cool.
14/Primary hook on @History program is DNA testing. They test DNA from #DBCooper's tie to their suspect. I support all DNA testing bc science can exclude or prove suspect.

I never understood why Cooper letters weren't tested. I understand @FBI has envelopes. DNA saliva?
15/@History advocate says he's always believed 98% "certainty" Sheridan "could be" #DBCooper. Could be? Not "is"? Strange choice of words & really putting entire rep of this case on this suspect w/little evidence to support.

Sheridan seems to enjoy taunting. #Rackstraw did same
16/According to @history program they HAVE #DBCooper DNA profile. If so, that's key. USE IT on other suspects!!!!

BTW, DNA results on his 98% "certainty" that Sheridan "could be" #DBCooper?

Sorry, but back to drawing board. NOT A MATCH.

This program was waste of time.
17/@History should test one of #RobertRackstraw's children's DNA. Rule him out or confirm he was #DBCooper.

On this date in 1963, President John F. Kennedy, who was struck down by an assassin's bullet three days earlier, was laid to rest.

1/My client, a Navy veteran sexual assault victim, was subject of high level political smear attacks that led to firing of Deputy Secretary @DeptVetAffairs, who has now gone on record.

Now Congressman @DanCrenshawTX (R-TX) is slandering victim. Why?

newsweek.com/former-veteran…
2/@RepDanCrenshaw claims "she had filed six complaints while they served together in the Navy". FALSE.

Do you have proof to contrary Congressman? Let's hear it.

Why does it even matter if she filed even one complaint? What are you insinuating? That she files false reports?
3/That she exaggerates? That she creates situations as a victim? Is that what you are alleging about a sexual assault victim who actually works alongside of you in Congress? Do you really think your statement helps victims be comfortable in coming forward to report assaults?

No one should be treated like this, regardless of ideology. Culprits should be arrested & prosecuted.

But don't necessarily believe what could be propaganda by alt-right as other incidents allegedly involving BLM & Antifa (not an org) turned out to be right-wing agitators.
"In some cases, they have been found to purposefully sow confusion by impersonating left-wing activists in an effort to fuel movement toward civil war."

1/Several years ago I handled prepublication review case of former @CIA engineer who participated in #ProjectAzorian & he published "The CIA's Greatest Covert Operation: Inside the Daring Mission to Recover a Nuclear-Armed Soviet Sub".

Fascinating story.

END/ His book & story is now featured in documentary film released yesterday called "Neither Confirm Nor Deny".

I highly encourage everyone to watch. And @IntlSpyMuseum should consider airing the film in a future event!

CNN and MSNBC call the election for Biden in light of PA but FOXNEWS is discussing polling. Given Fox aggressively called AZ ahead of everyone else, I wonder if they are purposefully holding back.
AP and CBS also called it. Where are you @FoxNews?

You called AZ but not PA?

Something is wrong with that.
ABC and NBC also. So basically EVERYONE but Fox. 🤣
