.@fordnation failed to implement 85% of recommendations of emergency readiness. History repeating itself w both Liberal & Cons ignoring recommendations from the SARS commission. Ford's "command table" was more like a disorganized free for all! #onpoli
Ford's "Command Table" had up to 500 members - way larger than other provinces. They had LIMITED documentation (transparency anyone?), it was NO LET BY HEALTH EXPERTS, and Public Health was ignored with hospital CEOs and ON govt staffers having more weight at the table. #onpoli
And of course b/c @fordnation elected to IGNORE HEALTH EXPERTISE he delayed making life-saving decisions! He REJECTED Public Health Ontario's advice and delayed ordering long-term care restrictions and masking policies. Ford's dragging hurt our communities! #onpoli
.@fordnation disaster coupled with the poor leadership from the Chief Medical Official of Health has landed us here in this 2nd lockdown. Chief Medical Officer of health DENIED existence of community spread even though most health officers acknowledged spread in March! #onpoli
Contact-tracing delays, frontline healthcare workers still run off their feet due to chronic staff shortages, lab testing delays caused by YEARS of IGNORING budget requests by Ford & Liberal govts to get our system up on its feet modernized have all landed us right here. #onpoli
ON deserves better. My community #tostpauls deserves better. We will continue fighting for what we deserve but make no mistake Ontario will never forget. @fordnation must stop playing Russian roulette with our lives.Our families, children & small biz do NOT deserve this. #onpoli
