1-Do you know that since it came to power, Islamic Republic in Iran has been assassinating its critics abroad? Worse, so-called reformists have also supported fatwas to kill. While Khomeini gave a fatwa for Salman Roshdi’s head, “reformist” Mohajerani supported it.
2-Assassination of dissidents abroad was very gruesome. In 1980, the Islamic Republic assassinated Iran's pre-revolutionary spokesman for Iranian Embassy in DC, Ali Akbar Tabatabai.

In 1989, they assassinated Qassemlou, a left-wing Kurdish dissident living in Austria.
3-Abdorrahman Boroumand was from the Council of the National Front of Iran. After arriving in Paris in 1979, he openly declared his opposition to the Islamic Republic.

He was brutally killed in his apartment by a Palestinian commando hired by the Islamic Republic.
4-Shahpour Baktiyar, Iran's last Prime Minister under the shah was was murdered by 3 assassins in Paris

Worse, while 2 assassins escaped to Iran, the 3rd, Vakili Rad, served an 16-year sentence.

After serving his sentence, murderer Vakili Rad was welcomed like a hero in Iran
5-The list goes on. They assassinated Fereydoun Farrokhzad, celebrated singer/artist/poet in Germany for being critical of the regime.

Farrokhzad was a true Iranian patriot who remained critical of the Islamic Republic while in exile.
6-Then, came the notorious Mykonos killings. This time, In Berlin's Mykonos Restaurants, officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran lured members of Kurdistan Democratic Party, under the pretext of negotiations.

Then they fired indiscriminately, killing several Kurdish dissidents
7-In May 1996, Reza Mazlouman, critic of the Islamic Republic was brutally killed by the Islamic Republic of Iran in Paris.
8-This is not an exhaustive list of assassinations of dissidents by the Islamic Republic of Iran. Since it came to power, the regime has striven to silence criticism abroad brutally. Worse, assassins are celebrated as heroes by the regime officials

1-For years, the Islamic Republic like a mafia cartel has taken innocent people - academics, tourists— hostage to use as a bargaining tool.

Kylie-Moore Gilbert, an Australian academic detained on fake charges since Sep 2018 was released in exchange for 3 Islamist terrorists.
2-These terrorists were arrested by Thai authorities in 2013 for targeting Israeli officials. One of them, Saeid Moradi, attempted to throw a bomb at Thai police but it detonated at his feet and blew his legs off. Other terrorists are Mohammad Kharzei and Masoud Sedaghatzadeh
3-Kylie-Moore Gilbert was used a bargaining chip to get these terrorists released. Many Iranian families have a relative arrested unjustly to keep them silent.

1-The execution of a champion athlete, #NavidAfkari, by the Islamic Republic of Iran has shocked the world. As mentioned by @TValioghli, former member of Iran’s national swimming team, she’s seen several of her athlete friends executed by the regime.

2-The purge of Iranian sports began with the arrest of Ali Hojat Kashani, head of Physical Education Dept. He was arrested for the crime of holding 1974 Asian Games in Iran & encouraging sports, which was was seen as "corrupting" young people. He was summarily tried & executed
3-Then, revolutionaries set their sights on Nader Jahanbani, Iran’s equestrian champion and a jet pilot. He was also the head of the Iranian Physical Education Organization until 1978. After a show trial where revolutionaries couldn’t find any evidence of crime, he was executed

1-Today, I’m heartbroken. We had applied to the appeals court to appeal my brother’s 8-year sentence. Despite our efforts, the appeals court in Iran is adamant about my brother’s sentence. All because he’s related to me. My innocent brother is in jail due to my activism abroad
2-The regime alleges that my brother, Alireza Alinejad, is in jail because of “campaigning against the regime”. The same regime that wanted to take its revenge from the Americans but ended up only being capable of shooting down a civilian airline filled with innocent Iranians.
3-The same regime that did not hesitate to kill more than 1500 protesters during November 2019’s #IranProtests, but has categorically refused to try any of the killers.
