1029, Liban woke up not feeling well; his relationship with one important person to his life is strained. Liban was rehearsing presentation when close relative watched him and he kept getting the feeling that the person was disapproving his work.

Today Libin plans to continue to report every hour and failing to do so he will pay a fine of $10 ; he will also start exercising because he gained some weight; he will plan ahead and subsequently implement his plans; that will be his work today. 1038.

Liban was playing with his son and eating breakfast. He also meditate a little bit. His mind was empty.1100

1211, the last hour Liban was talking to a relative back home and playing with his son. He will focus on getting answers for immigration questions. He will also brainstorm on many relevent questions.

1316, Liban exercised and spent sometime with a friend. He also finished some immigration paperwork. He has done nothing else.

1422, Liban will start to report the hight of the hour. He has young son governed by pleasure principle, he is either enjoying or he is crying. As a result, he claims his time by demanding to be supervised.

Liban continuously forgets what his methodology is: mine public information for analysis and recommendations. Liban studied sites and social media for information. He will do analysis right away.

1602, Liban researched and brainstormed about Somalia, and he wrote nothing. He plans to write every five minutes.

1704. Liban started recording himself discussing about issues because that is how he generates insights towards the information that he’s currently analyzing; he will continue to do so and subsequently write what he has learned and then use them as materials for presentation

1804, Liban was doing Facebook live preparation and presentation. He has to pay $10. 1900, Liban is working on immigration paperwork for his partner.

Libin plans to pay another $10 because he did not report at 2000, he could have alarmed and subsequently use the alarm as a reminder of documenting what he has done; he could also have taken a more proactive approach; and also should have planned and implemented his plans.

Libin has used this hour communicating with his relatives uncertainty and outstanding issues. He feels that our watch productively used. He will continue to use the remaining hours as productive as possible. And he is proud of him self and his achievement of getting work done1018

Libin slept at 2 AM last night; he woke up around 8 AM this morning; he ate breakfast and prepared himself and his son; he then went back to sleep for a couple of hours; he will work on having a sleep schedule and exercise ; he will work on politics, psychology and Business.

He plans to send some money to Somalia and then work on some immigration paperwork; that is his plan; but he would like to get some work done on Horn of Africa and Business utilizing the two minute rule: start tasks and finish them in two minutes, and then start again.

Libin did not report at 1400 as well as a 1500 ; he read reports and summarized them and then commented on them; he was not distracted at all; so, he simply forgot to report. Let him now alarm and should he fail, he will be fined. 1557

Implications of rule based bahaviors is that they become easy to identify them, note their shorter term and longer term implications; if so, then one gains knowledge to do the right thing and may even have motivation to do the right thing.

‘ I am able to get distracted again and again, and I have not seen anything bad happen as a consequence of that aimless browsing’ Liban’s rule based behavior with regard to browsing and not pursuing things important to him. Stressing consequences and immediate punishment helps.

When Liban finishes presentation, he enters another state where pleasure browsing is not tempting and awareness is present; the same applies when he meditates, does tai chi and takes a long walk or works on a project for a long time, and so on; he gets a glimpse of better state

Liban woke up feeling well, and he does not know why. He decided to keep food log; to see why he wakes up some days without headache and other days with headache.

Liban presented negative feeling around his chest as he talked about a sister of his father whom he has never met suffering from illness and lacking proper care. Her kids appear to be well off but not taking care of her. She is languishing in the rural areas of Somalia

Liban talked to some of his relatives and feels better now and more work needs to be done. Liban reported that he ‘ does not have time to explore the psyche’ and reported that he gets ‘ anxious’ as he thinks about such exploration.

During this period, Liban started editing yesterday’s work. He wants to make this a routine, editing yesterday’s work. He also desires to journal about security and politics, also edit the work next day, thereby building materials to be edited twice before publishing.

Liban exercised and edited materials during this period. He will start preparations for the day and present short religious presentation in multiple languages, also to be edited next day before passing two more editing for final publications.

Liban’s mood is not great m, titling towards morose. He wants to be thriving again, and he not doing that yesterday, suggesting lying back on bed for a longer period is not conducive to thriving. He wants to thrive, so be it. He will do tai chi, prayers and meditations

Liban woke up and spent 25 minutes listening to comedy and re-listening to his old podcasts. He did not desire to do this: he did not stop it . He learned, to re-listen to them & write shorter notes about them. Failure to focus though is a challenge that he will deal with today.

Liban spent the next 6:30-9:30 am, three hours, preparing himself for the day, preparing presentations and delivering it. The presentation took about 2 hours. There was a period where he was lost. During his presentation, he was emotional, getting close to crying.

1048,Liban is lying down while working on computer on a desk for bed; Liban was getting sleepy due to his association with the bed and sleep. He took 17 minutes of nap; he still wants more. He will not do it. He will compete 25 minutes of work remaining from 52 minutes of work.

Liban has not been taking breaks. Liban dreamed last night of visiting his hometown, Mogadishu; the city did not know each other, some parts developed and others are in Stone Age. He was arrested by Ethiopian officer close to Villa Somalia, after he was walking around the area.

He called people for help, calling the name of his clan; non came; people minded their business. Liban asked the officer why he arrested him and he simply suggested that he has the power to do so. After long argument, the officer decided to leave Liban alone. Liban left.

0839, Liban feels changed by optimal breathing method that he had been using; he plans to use it more; he slept 8 hours, exercised on time and feels great. It seems finally he has managed to form productive routines and maintain them.
