DEAR REPORTERS—When Donald Trump inevitably brags about the Pfizer #COVID19 vaccine again, remind him it was developed first in Germany 🇩🇪 by scientists of Turkish 🇹🇷 ethnic descent.

And then ask Trump about his damn Muslim ban.

3) Who is the Turkish scientist behind BioNTech? 🇹🇷 born immigrant named Ugur Sahin and his wife Özlem Türeci.

A native of Turkey, Ugur Sahin moved to Germany after his father got a job at a Ford factory in Cologne.

4) BioNTech’s U.S. headquarters is in Cambridge. Sahin is the CEO, Türeci the chief medical officer. Husband and wife duo. ✊🏼
5) also important to highlight is the main scientist Katalin Karikó who toiled at mRNA to fight disease for years. She is an Hungarian immigrant to America, who became a UPENN professor.

WHAT THE... New lawsuit alleges Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds’ staff & IA assistant attorney general approved of sexual-arousal experiments on mentally disabled residents, & then after 6 employees at mental institution complained—fired them in retaliation. Wow.

Folks—we have to prepare people: ‘This is what you need to expect. Take Tylenol and suck it up for a day.’

“REACTOGENICITY” is initial fatigue/headache one can get from a vaccine that lasts a few hours. But we need to prep people it’s totally normal. 🧵
