Update on my dad.
After stabilizing his blood sugar on Monday, he was released from the hospital on Monday.
However yesterday when he visited the wound care specialist for a wound on his leg, they found an infection.
He is scheduled today for a surgical debridement.

Since he has multiple comorbidities, any surgery is very dangerous for him.
If all goes well, they will then attempt a graft to close the wound.
This will likely be a an extended healing process.

They are taking him into surgery at 9:30.
Ok just heard from my dad. He is out of surgery. Doctors said it went well. Will be a day or two before they can proceed with a graft.
