President Mnangagwa has arrived at the PPC plant in Msasa industrial area, Harare, where he will tour the facility. The President is being accompanied on the tour by VP Kembo Mohadi and several Cabinet Ministers.
Official proceedings have started with the PPC board member Stanford Moyo giving his welcome remarks.
PPC managing director Mr Kelibone Masiyane says the company is committed to the Zimbabwean market since it started production 107 years ago.
Says the company welcomes Government efforts to create an enabling environment. He says the company is playing a big role in the country's infrastructure development especially road construction and rehabilitation.
He ends his remarks and invites Industry and Commerce Minister Sekai Nzenza to the podium.
President Mnangagwa takes to the podium, to give his address.
He says the National Development Strategy 1 prioritizes infrastructure development which provides opportunities for the company.
He commends the company's environmentally friendly production processes. He challenges the company to adopt latest production methods to improve quality and competitiveness.
President Mnangagwa says Government and the private sector should work together for the development of the country. He urges the company to engage institutions of higher learning in development of new products.
He thanks the company for investing in the country and said Government would work to ensure the operating environment remains conducive.
President Mnangagwa concludes his speech.

President Mnangagwa is this morning expected to launch the Judicial Service Commission`s 2021-2025 Strategic Plan at the Harare International Conference Centre.
The President has arrived and proceedings begin with the singing of the national anthem.
Chief Justice Luke Malaba rises to give his remarks. He says the launch is significant in the delivery of justice in the country.
Today is World Aids Day and earlier commemorations were held at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).
This year the commemorations are running under the theme, "Global Solidarity, Shared Responsibility"
National Aids Council CEO Dr Bernard Madzima gave an overview of the commemorations. He called for unity in combating HIV and Aids, saying it will take collective effort among countries to achieve set goals.
Mr Dennis Mhangure Deputy Director in the Ministry of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Harare Metropolitan gave welcome remarks on behalf of Minister Oliver Chidawu.
At the accident scene we spoke to Ginimbi's business partner Dr Peter Gwaza, who described the accident as a horrible tragedy.

First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa has joined other African First Ladies in Accra Ghana, for the Merck More than a Mother annual conference. She is accompanied by the Minister of Health and Child Care Dr Obadiah Moyo and the Ministry’s Family Health Director Dr Bernard Madzima.
The two day conference starts today and ends tomorrow. President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to officially open the conference. The First Lady is one of the speakers at this Merck Africa Asia Luminary 6th edition.
The conference is being co-chaired by Merck foundation CEO Dr Rasha Kelej and The First Lady of Ghana H.E Rebecca Akufo-ADDO. Ministers of Health, policy makers, health care providers and Academics from African and Asian countries are in attendance.
