Comments: FOX 23 and KFOR have asked OSDH and Interim Commissioner Frye about discrepancies between death certificate data, considered the gold standard by CDC, and the number of deaths underreported by the State. No meaningful explanation was given. (more)

2/ In fact, CDC death certificate data often takes weeks to be received tabulated, so the undercount may be much higher than the current 391 death difference. Based on 156 deaths being reported in the past 7 days, the CDC undercount could easily be several hundred. (more)

3/ Since there are not many technical changes since my Dec. 1 report, I will not go further into methodology at this time, but instead, will discuss some matters of ongoing investigation. (more)

/4 One unsolved mystery, is why does OSDH have more than 4300 "active cases" older than 14 days, yet under 1800 in the hospital? Only way to get off "active" list is to recover or die. What portion of these 2500 "actives" not hospitalized are dead? (more)

/5 Mystery #2: Why didn't Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. process 1000s of samples for months, including the 2,330 listed in this October 27 Executive Order Report?

Speculation: these are blood samples from "pneumonia" dead, awaiting COVID tests. (more)

/6 Note that 2,330 is really close to the 2,500+ excess active number, and pending tests were reduced to 2500+ after labs caught up on 11/30. While OSDH no longer supplies lab specific information (wonder why?...), seems reasonable to speculate those are the old samples. (more)

/7 Lots of people reached out to me after my Dec. 1 #StittVirusDeathCount, including some knowledgeable of nursing homes. If you follow the money -- looking at you "Local Media" -- there is ample reason to suspect that for profit homes are helping @GovStitt cook the books. (more)

/8 Look at who profits from State funding, and who benefits from questionable state policies such as allowing COVID-infected nurses to work? Look at recent @GovStitt fundraisers, and the major players in the for-profit Nursing Home industry. Any connection? (more)

/9 A working theory is that some for-profit nursing homes are coding COVID deaths as community-acquired pneumonia, when such would be rare in such a setting (according to source). We know we have lots of pneumonia dead in Oklahoma..hmm...there's that 2500 number again. (more)

/10 So to summarize for "Local Media," you might want to look into:

1) CDC/OSDH discrepancy
2) Why so many active cases>14 days?
3) Why is OSDH not processing 2500 samples?
4) Are for-profit nursing homes helping to cook the books?

/11 I am ending this report with why I am publishing #StittVirusDeathCount. The last straw for me was @GovStitt chief of staff @porkchoppayne trumpeting a lowered case count when that case count was caused by a reduction in testing by 59% over the holiday weekend. (more)

/12 I know, just one more thing in a months long pattern of behavior downplaying the virus. But in doing that, @porkchoppayne unfairly attacked the media, a media trick to inoculate the public against bad news. Minimizing as "hype," instead of warning us. (more)
