1. I’m always perplexed and even get dumbfounded every time I receive a mail from a reader of Illuminare and the content reveals he or she is unfamiliar with the byproducts of the atonement of Jesus – what we call New Testament realities. #Illuminare
2. These are our rights in Christ Jesus. Satan of course capitalizes on such ignorance with demonic oppression. And yet the Bible says you will not experience oppression. Isaiah 54:14 NET. If you don’t know your rights Satan will oppress you. #Illuminare
3. To some, all Jesus died for is forgiveness of sin, and even that is contested. There are those who want to work for their salvation. But if that is the case what’s the point of Jesus dying! #Illuminare
4. In the Bible the Greek word translated “salvation” is Sozo. It’s a multifaceted word. It incorporates forgiveness of sin, the healing of our body, material prosperity, as well as deliverance form demonic forces. #Illuminare
5. Therefore, salvation from damnation is a quarter gospel not the full gospel. The benefit of salvation is not just at the expiration of life, it has very real and tangible benefits here on earth. Salvation is a highly pragmatic program. #Illuminare
6. Deliverance from demonic forces is one of the accruals of the salvation program. It’s a legally enforceable claim. #Illuminare
7. The thing about Satan is, he’ll try whatever he can get away with. If you’re ignorant of your rights he’ll cheat you. He’ll afflict you no end if you don’t know you have power over him. #Illuminare
8. The Bible says resist the devil and he’ll flee from you. James 4:7. You have to do the resisting, God is not going to do it for you. He already told you what to do. The problem is, many of us are afraid of witches and wizards. #Illuminare
9. Those Nollywood movies don’t help matters either. But Jesus said something rather profound. He said, “Be not afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; but rather be afraid of Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28. #Illuminare
10. In other words fear only God. He’s the only one who can destroy both the soul and the body in hell. #Illuminare
11. Isn’t it ironic witches and wizards don’t even feature on Satan’s organogram? There are principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, spirit forces of wickedness… But there’s no mention of witches or wizards. That should tell you how important they are even in Satan’s scheme.
12. The Bible says we’re engaged in spiritual warfare. Our “hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the HIGHEST principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under heavenly realm… #Illuminare
13. …For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage.” Ephesians 6:12 TPT. #Illuminare
14. In the scheme of things therefore the fear of witches is highly irrational. They’re not critical army personnel. They’re more or less commissioned agents, civilians. It’s your fear elevating them. #Illuminare
15. They’re just malevolent human beings who procure evil in pursuit of personal wickedness. It’s why the Bible calls witchcraft work of the flesh. Galatians 5:20 KJV. In other words, witchcraft emanates from the depravity of man, the sinful nature of man. #Illuminare
16. Get rid of the fear. The Bible assures you your enemies will come at you one way but flee seven ways. Deuteronomy 28:7. That’s brutal. #Illuminare
17. I got a mail the other day from a young man wondering how he can fight “witchcraft affliction.” The answer is simple. You overcome through the blood of the Lamb, and the powerful word of his testimony. Revelation 12:11 TPT. #Illuminare
18. In other words, plead the blood of Jesus and speak the word of God. It’s how you war and win. There is power in the blood of Jesus. We overcome by the blood. No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper. Isaiah 54:17. #Illuminare
19. The Bible says you will be FAR from even THE THOUGHT of oppression, for YOU WILL NOT FEAR, and from terror, for it will not come near you. If ANYONE fiercely attacks you it will not be from God. Whoever attacks you will fall because of you. #Illuminare
20. Every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. This peace, righteousness, SECURITY, and TRIUMPH OVER OPPOSITION is your heritage. This is your vindication from God. Isaiah 54:14-15, 17 AMP. #Illuminare
21. Take the battle to the enemy. Stand on your righteousness. Irrespective of your sins you’re STILL the righteousness of God in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:21. You have righteousness. It is a gift from God, it’s not something you earn. It’s not based on your conduct. #Illuminare
22. That’s not saying we should sin, or that we can sin anyhow. It’s just saying your rights as a child of God are not determined by your acts, they’re determined by the atonement of Jesus. #Illuminare
23. There’s that naïve notion some Christians have concerning the operation of witches. They imagine if they mind their business and don’t trouble the devil, he’ll let them be. But that’s a betrayal of ignorance about the definition of evil. #Illuminare
24. Witches don’t come after you because you’ve done anything, they come after you because they’re evil. So, stop asking who you’ve offended, or what you’ve done. #Illuminare
25. Don’t go to a Babalawo or jujucian to offer appeasement to demons. That will be a huge mistake. They’re all in the same organized crime syndicate. You’ll give Satan direct inroad into your family, open yourself to blackmail and protection racket. #Illuminare
26. The Bible says you will overcome. This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our FAITH. Whatever is born of God overcomes the world. 1 John 5:4. #Illuminare
27. But what about curses and incantations? Can they affect you? Well, what does the Bible say? “There is no enchantment or omen against Jacob, nor is there any divination against Israel.” Numbers 23:23. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Isaiah 54:17. #Illuminare
28. Learn to say your own incantations too – “As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.” Proverbs 26:2. #Illuminare
29. This is how the TPT translation puts it: “An undeserved curse will be powerless to harm you. It may flutter over you like a bird, but it will find no place to land.” Jesus has been made a curse for you. You can’t be cursed. #Illuminare
30. “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on the tree.” Galatians 3:13. Every curse that can be laid on you has been absorbed by Jesus as he hung on that cross. You can’t be cursed!
31. You have the blood, and you have the word, but there’s a third weapon in your arsenal, and that’s the name of Jesus. #Illuminare
32. “At the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW in submission, of those that are in heaven and on earth, and every tongue shall confess and openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord.” Philippians 2:10-11 AMP. (Capitalization by the Bible). #Illuminare
33. You have the blood, you have the word, you have the name. Don’t be afraid. “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10. #Illuminare
34. Jesus has overcome the world. John 16:33. In cultural colloquialism, Awon Aiye cannot do you. (Nefarious powers can’t do you in). #Illuminare
35. What if you’re fed food in your sleep? Doesn’t that spell death? But Jesus said, if you drink any deadly thing it shall not harm you. Mark 16:18. He also said, “A man is not defiled by what enters his mouth, but by what comes out of it.” Matthew 15:11. #Illuminare
36. The principles apply to virtual reality. Jesus is lord in all realms. You will be okay. #Illuminare
37. Don’t express fear of death. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Proverbs 18:21. Don’t use your faith to procure your death. Satan needs your faith. #Illuminare
38. You’re covered by the blood of Jesus. Confess God’s word instead. You will not die, you will live, and proclaim what the Lord has done. Psalm 118:17. #Illuminare
39. Jesus said, I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly. John 10:10. Therefore you will live abundantly. The Lord will fulfill the number of your days. Exodus 23:26. Confess those words, believe them. #Illuminare
40. What if they call your name in your sleep? Isn’t that an omen of death? But your name is in the book of life not in the book of death. #Illuminare
41. Jesus said, “Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.” Luke 10:20. Cf. Philippians 4:3. #Illuminare
42. Your name is being confessed before the Father, not in hell. Revelation 3:5. Your life is hidden in Christ in God. Colossians 3:3. Jesus said, “The sheep that are my own hear my voice and listen to me; I know them, and they will follow me. – ” #Illuminare
43. “– And I will give them eternal life, and they will never BY ANY MEANS perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater and mightier than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.” John 10:27-29.
44. Write down these scriptures if you’re in a battle. Confess them regularly. Speak the word. Remember, you have three potent weapons: you have the name of Jesus, you have the word of God and you have the blood of Jesus. Congratulations on your victory! #Illuminare
