We think a lot internally about what it means to be a mission-driven company. Here are a few lessons we have learned, and who we have learned from the most 👇
2/
"Your current product is just one execution against the mission" is a phenomenal quote by @leifthunder.
3/
Let that quote sink in for a second.
4/
At Lloyd, we power people potential. We want individuals to lead a meaningful career. And we try to execute against this mission everyday.
5/
So for us, it isn't necessarily that someone gets a new job, a promotion, or nails that presentation. "Meaningful" is different for every person and we do our best to understand everyone as an individual.
6/
If I am going to be honest, that does make it tougher. Having a nice, clean metric to look at is powerful. "Once we get above 80% we are golden" is clarity for some companies, and that is great.
7/
In parallel to our product, another way we have found successful to enforce our mission is donations of time and money via @PledgeOne. An organization that we love is @MLTOrg.
8/
The mission of @MLTOrg aligns with our mission, and we feel that connection with each way we partner with MLT.
9/
And to be completely frank, we weren't exactly sure what other companies have done in this area. @pledgeone has opened our eyes to the diversity of ways to extend your mission.
10/
And so many other companies are an inspiration for us. @patagonia and @benandjerrys have been a leaders here for decades. @ClifBar and @thenorthface are also of interest to me personally.
Clearly so many organizations have been able to pair profits, growth, stakeholders, and a collective mission. It is possible to be passionate and profitable, and we hope to follow in their footsteps.

In honor of us being hunted on Product Hunt today, we are donating $1 to @MLTOrg for every piece of feedback we receive. So go to producthunt.com, find Lloyd, leave a review, and you'll be helping a great cause!

In honor of being hunted on 🐱 @ProductHunt today by @felix12777, we wanted to highlight what we have learned on our #nocode journey.
It has been 104 days from product signup (@AdaloHQ) to Product Hunt, so here are 104 learnings:
👇
1) To start, we had to figure out as a non-technical team how to build a technical product to lower the cost of #career navigation
2) We started Lloyd before the pandemic was the reality it is today, but what has happened in the last year made us even more committed to building a lower cost, quality product. #Nocode was a fast way to keeping costs down to also benefit others
