Thread :

There are news that MBBS Graduates will be posted Mandatorily in PHCs for 2 years and then only given certificate

In My Opinion

This is a very very wrong move

I say this not from the point of view of the graduate, but from point of view of a common man
Before one you jump and start your lecture on the importance of Doctors in Villages blah blah
Let me tell you that I had worked for 3 years in PHC

And
I can also tell you that I did not merely "scratch my chair" but did some work
You can read this thread to

1.
Know (a part of ) work I did

2.
Know that PHC (Primary Health Centres) are not just for treating people who come to the centre
But they are the fulcrum of Public Health
So
Please read the thread I had made in Feb 2020
first before proceeding with this thread

First and foremost

PHCs are not just Hospitals
It is a functional Unit for Primary Care
Seeing OP is the Last work of a PHC MO
He or she has to control at 15 to 20 workers
Including Village Health Nurses and Health Inspectors

The Medical Officer is the Head of the PHC
and
The Other Staff function based on his or her involvement
Hence
Only those who are willing to work need to be posted there

Posting someone who is not interested in the job
Will be a disaster
This doctor will "escape" at 11:30 AM Bus and every sub ordinates will "escape" at 12:15 Bus
So
If you are supporting this "Mandatory service" there are only two possibilities

1.
You don't know how PHCs work
2.
You are anti people / pro corporate and you want to close the PHCs

Do you have any questions ?
You will
But Before that
Let me tell few facts
It is a myth that doctors are not ready to work in PHCs

Take for example this Medical Recruitment Board Results

targetpg.in/7956

4781 doctors have applied for 911 vacancies.

So
Clear the wrong notion that doctors are not ready to work
PHCs in Tamil Nadu are not empty
They are full
Doctors are ready to work there
Why ?

Read this archive.nmji.in/archives/Volum… to find how TN addressed the issue

(NEET Spoiled few of this arrangement, but that is another story)
So
If you want to improve your PHCs
Follow #TamilNaduModel
If you want to maintain the PHCs like now
Keep Quite
If you want to destroy the PHCs
Implement Compulsory Rural Service
If some one supports mandatory Rural Service or Compulsary Rural Service

he or she is either ignorant of PHCs

or

is Anti People and want to close PHCs and go the US and UK way

Apologies if the language is a bit harsh and rude
What is going to Happen
1. The scheme will be implemented

2. Few in Media, who know, will write facts

3. Most in Media, who know nothing about PHCs, will glorify saying that this is a game changer blah blah

4. Doctors opposing this will be called names
5. Many doctors from "Reputed" institutions (Who have never worked a single day in a PHC) will come in Prime time and support this scheme

6. States like TN will oppose (as usual)

7. States where there is no PHC functioning, the students will get completion directly :) :)
8. States where PHC is being developed now, will face the maximum brunt and any development in the last 10 years will be wiped off in 3 years

And even then
The blame will not be on the wrong approach but only on the doctors and saying that doctors do not know management
9. After this
They will form a committee and find out that this is wrong and they need to outsource the PHCs to Private Hospitals [read Point 5 again :) ]

and our public will again support this move saying that govt employees don't work and only privatization will improve

Let us Explore this <<not a judgemental forum>> approach a bit more

Assuming that the first Confession is Real and not fake

What we know for sure is that this lady is not happy for what happened (Symptom)

Now
This could be due to 4 causes (etiology)
1.
Her husband is at fault

2.
She is at fault

3.
Both are at Fault

4.
Neither is at fault. The Circumstances are at fault / Society is at fault / there was miscommunication / there was misunderstanding

Now
We need to solve the problem
So
We need to find the cause
Without knowing the correct cause of the problem and without correcting the root cause, the problem won't go away

So
We need to find the root cause

Isn't it

Actually
Finding the Root Cause = Judging
And
This is exactly a section of today's youth don't want to do

National Digital Health Mission : Clarification

Long Thread. Please be patient even if you feel certain Points are repeated

Let us start with a letter. How do I send you a letter. I send to your home address or office Address. You have got the letter, read it and filed it Image
Now, if you want to read it for some clarification, you need to go to your home or office, retrieve the file and check it

This was how letters were being used.

Then in 1990s came the eMail. Here The Mail was served in a server and you can read it any time.
In the early days, the server was maintained by Educational institutions or Internet Service Providers. Though you were getting the letters, the downside was that you need to change your address once you left the educational institution or opted for another ISP

#FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) on #BCG (#Bacille #Calmette-#Guerin) #Vaccine Trial
Question : Will BCG vaccine really benefit to control COVID in elderly ?
My Answer : Yet, It will. But, “control”, (like Prevent or Save) is a wrong word to be used. The Right word is “Reduce”
BCG Vaccine won’t benefit to control COVID in elderly
BCG Vaccine won’t benefit to prevent COVID in elderly
BCG Vaccine won’t save elderly from COVID
But
BCG Vaccine will reduce Mortality and Morbidity in Elderly

To Substantiate this, they are planning to start a trial
