TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS IN SWEDEN AS ALTERNATIVE TO FREE TUITION IN GERMANY
I will cover these topics:
A) Background – why you should consider Tuition scholarships
B) Applying to the University
C) Admission requirements
D) Visa application
E) Possible Scholarships
A) Background
Free tuition = Tuition scholarship for all admitted students
Tuition scholarship = scholarship for selected students based on academic excellence or motivation
So why should you then consider Tuition scholarship in Sweden over Free tuition in Germany?
As you might already know, it is very difficult to get an appointment for study visa in Germany due to high number of applications.
Except you have first class or a scholarship or can speak some German.
So many people have been on the waiting list for a long time and covid19 even made the matter worse at the German embassy.
Many people have been asking me how to work around this situation and I will show you how to do just that in this thread by considering Sweden.
B) Applying to the University
Applying to study in Sweden is pretty easy. So what you’ve got to do first is find a programme. There are over 1,000 English-taught programmes from 39 Universities to choose from. studyinsweden.se/programmes/
Application deadline for admission to all courses is 15 January 2021. You also have to pay an application fee of about 90 euro. You need to only pay once even if you want to apply for several programs at the same time.
Pretty easy right:)
C) Admission requirments
Bachelor degree: WAEC result is sufficient
Msc degree: Bachelor degree certificate and transcript. Specific grade not specified. Please write the university an email to ask if you have third class and want to apply
-English language requirement: WAEC English language result is sufficient for both bachelor and masters programs
-Very good CV and motivational letter
D) Visa application
Requirements include:
-You must proof your sustainability with an account balance of about 10000 euro or 5million Naira for 1 year or 2.5million for 6months. The good part is that the money can be held in your local account
-You must have paid a possible tuition fee which can be as high as 28000 euro for 2 years or 7000 euro for one semester. I will tell you in the next section how to avoid paying this.
