Shortly after @theblcklst website launched, I was introduced to Tony Hsieh, who asked me what I next needed to accomplish our mission of supporting talented aspiring professional screenwriters in making their way into the industry....
My answer was rambling: About the need for community, about wanting to start a screenwriters lab, about not having the resources to execute it

A week later he emailed to say that he could give me 15 bedrooms in downtown Las Vegas for a full week if that would be helpful.
And @theblcklst screenwriters lab was born.

I can’t claim to have known him well, which is, I think, even greater testament to him:

Tony Hsieh was uncommonly generous, often inexplicably.

This one’s easy:

Small, intimate, inspirational inauguration thats heavy on packaged video and that respects the reality of the global pandemic we’re living through and then immediately back to work.

Save the party for the first July 4 that it’s safe to gather at scale again.
Bonus of the massive eventual July 4 party: Throw in a military parade and drive Trump (even more) insane.
I am available for Biden-Harris admin narrative crafting and Trump wound salting as necessary.

Peloton’s stock dips 20% on the Pfizer vaccine news, and they drop the Beyoncé announcement the next morning.

Fascinating.
That’s either a hell of a coincidence or they (probably wisely) did the deal and sat on it until the inevitable first major vaccine news.
See if you can guess when @onepeloton made the @Beyonce announcement.

Though I’ve yet to see evidence that supports the claim, it’s certainly plausible that the branding of “defund the police” had a negative effect in some more conservative environments, but we should also be very clear that branding and policy are different.
I would love to see polling on the constituent elements of Defund the Police separate from its branding as such.
Like, is there anyone who’s actually against reducing police capacity for violence in favor or providing more effective constituent services in such a way that reduces crime and improves quality of life?

Not a parent, but the obvious answer here is to call her Ace and tell her that you want her to have the experience of making the legal change herself when she's 18.

I'd probably add that this lets her try a few additional names before then.

Actual parents, where am I wrong?
Also, objectively, Ace is an absolutely boss name for a twelve year old girl. Added to the list of options for my eventual children.

I hope everyone who mocked the “Handmaid’s Tale could happen tomorrow” folks feel appropriately ashamed of themselves.
But that would require being capable of shame.
