(2) I'm glad they arrested 89 year old Peter Nygard on these sex trafficking charges because when they are finally exposed after they've died, it's harder to work toward justice for the survivors and their loved ones. Jimmy Savile (UK) is an example.

(3) Almost 2 years ago I first heard about the appalling #NXIVM case and wrote about it here. The thread has practical suggestions on what we as bystanders can do to try to help the survivors and everyone else impacted by such heinous crimes:

(4) Correction: Peter Nygard is 79, not 89. Good, that means that if convicted he will spend longer in prison, with any luck.

(5) The crimes of Nygard and his associates are an order of magnitude worse than Epstein's.

It takes a lot to shock me, I've been exposed to a lot over the years, but this case is really bad.

Hundreds, possibly thousands of victims & survivors. From 1977 & even earlier.

(6) Nygard used his clothing company employees to recruit and prepare his victims to be brutally raped. Even taking their passports before flying them to the Bahamas. No way they could escape. Many have said how terrified they were. One left her family in order to protect them.

(7) She literally told her husband she had met someone else, in order to avoid him knowing the real reason she left not just him, but her baby, too.

Can you imagine being _that_ terrified of your rapists?

It's a sad fact of life.

(8) This wasn't a system of persuading a child to give a guy a massage then a blow job, like Epstein & co. Girls & women were lured away at "parties" & forcibly raped or sodomized, or drugged into unconsciousness then raped or sodomized. By 6 males.

(9) Nygard is 79 & reportedly on a number of meds. He appeared in court with his long hair in a bun, looking "disheveled" in prison attire and wrist and leg shackles.

Police in CAN & the US had ignored his crimes for decades.

IDGAF if he lives or dies but...

(10) Whatever happens, Nygard's name will never be cleared & I'm looking forward to the dozens of individuals who aided or joined in his crimes being arrested. IDC how many they are, where they are, or anything. Enough is fucking enough of this crap.

As are the apologists claiming the celebs weren't on his island when he was there.

(13) Some allege Bush 41 visited the island but I've yet to check it out. The above photo looks to have been taken in a US or Canadian city.

Prince Andrew might have only been there once, & with his young family, but the association at all is the issue. Evidence could emerge.

(14) The photo of Robert de Niro sure has the look of a man who had allowed no photos of him to be taken there but his pal wanted to get one. For posterity, you know.

More like for insurance. This is not our first rodeo, is it?

(15) And then there are photos of Nygard with Bill Gates.

Microsoft had used his clothing company for a case study on some tech thing. I don't care... they are all criminals, and those who condone or cover up the brutal rape of 14 year olds are beyond my forgiveness.

The other pic appears to be on US federal property during 41's presidency I'd say.

I tried to defend 41 in the past. I can't do that anymore.

(17) The first pic shows that body language again. It's not always a bad sign but it concerns me when I see a creep like this using it.

The buff Nygard billboard pic is gross. No doubt a "doctored image."

Some of the women have that look in their eyes... can't hide the pain.

(18) If you're new to the HW, my threads can be long, & then link to another long one, but it's what I do. I like to address every known objection. The more your tweets are shared, the more you hear the same old comments in the replies. So I refer back to answers already given.

(19) My response to this comment is next:

"If Nygard is able to incriminate anybody who is actually important, he'll be "suicided" long before it can happen."

(20) From what I've read, there's already more than enough evidence of who else committed the crimes. The FBI, RCMP & others did an extremely thorough job. Plus the lawyers for 50 or more survivors (so far.) The perps are gonna regret messing with these brave women & men.

And:

(21) For me it doesn't matter if a rapist was a prince or a pauper, he or she must be apprehended then contained, away from society.

(Yes, women can rape, with objects, or with a male friend.)

I'm not in this just to see celebs exposed. That will happen anyway.

(22) I was pissed off when Epstein was killed. But it doesn't change the fact that several good things happened as a result of his arrest.

Yes, false accusations are a heinous crime & everyone has a right to due process.

I aim to assess every claim on a case by case basis without fear or favor.

The evidence against Nygard is extremely clear.
