(1) My thoughts on this audio clip:

>Yeah OK we're not supposed to praise him for it bc he's a Scientologist and they use our praise to get and keep innocents inside their death cult. Check.

>I wasn't gonna praise him for it, but I have some observations to make...
(2) BTW I've been calling out Scientology for as long as I've been an adult, which is nearly 30yrs. LOL. And I predicted before they married that Katie Holmes would eventually leave Tom Cruise.

His covid rant sounds exactly like it would if it was part of a movie script of his.
(3) So, I'm not totally convinced it was unscripted and impromptu. Especially since he just says "you, and you" etc. That's like he didn't want their names getting out.

His anger is misplaced, of course. And if he had real power, he wouldn't have needed to yell.
(4) What a lot of folk may not have realized, is that this allegedly happened in London. That country is a covid-measures prison now, far worse than anywhere in the US.

Worse than Victoria, Australia was in ?August, and worse than NZ was in March-April.

So context matters.
(5) Some of the covid-mitigation measures work and are needed, others are at best a waste of time; at worst they are exacerbating the situation, and causing needless suffering and death. It's one of the most evil periods in the history of our civilization so far.
(6) I had an incident in the first days of covid spreading here in NZ, when a so-called health professional failed to take basic precautions and, when I politely asked, became angry and defensive about it. That was kinda the last straw in losing trust in such people. Long story.
(7) Therefore, I can understand the rage anyone would feel if genuinely presented with careless, even reckless disregard for safety precautions. I've been getting angry over all kinds of health and safety breaches my whole life. It's why I can't work in certain jobs now.
(8) But please, this was likely not a genuine case of breaches, and Tom Cruise has a ton of other ways he can achieve the goal, if he really needed to. On the balance of probabilities I rule this episode as fake.👩‍⚖️
(9) Just another performance art thing, like we've seen from "liberal" America the past 4 years. Regardless of Scientology, Tom Cruise is part of Hollywood, and that's bad enough.

How I miss the innocent days of 1986.

Talk to me, Goose.🇺🇸🎖️

(1) Thread: The arrest of Peter J Nygard in Winnipeg, Canada today.

The important part:

🚨His compound in the Bahamas was "visited by Michael Jackson, George H. W. Bush, Robert De Niro, and Prince Andrew, Duke of York" and others.🚨

justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr/c…
(2) I'm glad they arrested 89 year old Peter Nygard on these sex trafficking charges because when they are finally exposed after they've died, it's harder to work toward justice for the survivors and their loved ones. Jimmy Savile (UK) is an example.
(3) Almost 2 years ago I first heard about the appalling #NXIVM case and wrote about it here. The thread has practical suggestions on what we as bystanders can do to try to help the survivors and everyone else impacted by such heinous crimes:

Are you old enough to remember the year 1984? I am.

This is the China I knew of at that time. The one that British pop due Wham! visited to film the Freedom music video. Ironic on multiple levels.

Gonna be an amazing 5 weeks for us all. Buckle up.

"On the edge of oblivion
All the word is Babylon
And all the love and everyone
A ship of fools sailing on"

Everybody Have Fun Tonight by Wang Chung, 1986

It's an earworm, I'm sorry.😛

China makes me think of a bunch of 80s songs.

Philip Bailey - Walking On The Chinese Wall (1984)

Great music video, that I took for granted at the time. Makes me think about how good it's going to be for the Chinese people and everyone else in the world when the regime crumbles. Freedom.🙏

(1) Thread: A place to store links to confirmed info about what is currently called the Texas lawsuit, and/or any related direct-to-SCOTUS cases we need to know about.

It's a waste of time telling me about a court decision or a case filed or talked abt, w/out a proper source.
(2) There's too much unconfirmed info floating about (whether deliberate or accidental) and I think we're all sick and tired of that.

So, as a side effect of trying to meet my own info needs, I'm sharing the info I find, for you.
(3) Please don't assume your readers understand jargon terms and concepts about the finer details of court procedures. Instead of "it's on the docket" tell me what body decided this, when (incl time of day if necessary) & tell me where I can confirm it (ie read a document.)

(1) RIP actress Natalie Desselle-Reid, who died at just 53 from colon cancer. Her family's official statement on instagram is reported here:

people.com/movies/actress…

I routinely write about celebrity deaths from a perspective of raising medical awareness & saving lives.
(2) Colon cancer is one of the most common cancers and like others is often treatable if caught early enough.

If you have a known family history of it you should ask your doctor about screening options.

Risk generally increases with age, so those over 60* should do the same.
(3) I say 60 years of age without knowing what the current recommendation is in the US (where most of my readers live. Colon cancer can strike younger people, too.

Most of us never get screening out of fear of discomfort or embarrassment.

Our life can depend on it, though.

(1) A young college student Harrison Deal, working as a field director in Athens, GA for Kelly Loeffler's campaign, is reported dead after a car crash.

In 2018 another young man died in a car crash, & I wrote a thread (see next tweet.)

Please be respectful of the families.
(2) A few weeks after the tragic 2018 death of Eli Stickley I was able to show what happened (see link.)

When you read the first half of the thread & see my comments on DOJ/FBI officials, please note this year I've 180 degrees changed my mind on them.

(3) Anyone with a brain can see there are all kinds of criminal political corruption shenanigans in the US rn, esp. in GA.

Harrison Deal, who was probably about 20 years old & in no way a senior staffer, is MOST LIKELY a victim of a simple traffic accident of some kind.

Harrison Deal was a Kelly Loeffler team staffer & died in a car crash. Loeffler cancelled her rally appearance but Gov Kemp also cancelled his meeting with VP.

There's not a lot of love for Kemp atm. I can't help thinking the mtg would've been useful.

ajc.com/news/breaking-…
Maybe Kemp should have sent his Secretary of State to deputize for him.😉
I have since learned that the deceased man was a member of Gov Kemp's family. They are in my prayers.
