@BrendanKeefe 1/ I think that it should be pointed out that any conscientious observer/pollwatcher assigned to watch ballot scanning would not have left until room was secured and closed. You don't just walk away when managers say "we are going home soon. " You watch the close down.
@BrendanKeefe 2/ You ask to record seal numbers. You count the ballot boxes. That is your job if you are an assigned ballot scanning monitor. You don't leave early and then blame management for change in schedule.
Also let's not forget about the ballot containers they call "suitcases," ....
@BrendanKeefe 3/ The observers were there (or should have been there) when the containers were put under the tables for storage. They could have recorded the seal numbers.
They shouldn't pretend surprised that the containers were there. Containers didn't appear from thin air.
@BrendanKeefe 4/ This is a case of the GOP observers not taking their jobs seriously and failing to perform them. Then blaming someone else, making up wild untrue allegations when they lost the presidential race.
@BrendanKeefe 5/ I went to that room as an appointed watcher multiple times and no GOP watchers were there when I was.
Yes, Fulton did not make it transparent enough, but GOP had $$ and power to challenge at the time and they were not interested until they lost.
@BrendanKeefe 6/ And to be clear, @BrendanKeefe, I am not faulting media. They don't have the obligation to monitor.

1/ This famous GOP attorney is advising people not to volunteer as appointees of their parties to be observers for oversight of elections, but to work for money for the gov't officials, and implies that watchers don't make a difference. He's very wrong!
See thread. ⬇️
2/ The reason that the plaintiffs in Trump lawsuits have had to throw b.s. against the wall to see what sticks and have made so many inaccurate claims is that they had very few observers during the election processing in GA. Very few collected the evidence for their party.
3/ Vast majority of poll workers "officials" will not collect evidence for the parties. Most are too fearful of being fired and their loyalty is to their county staff boss.
Observers/watchers are advocates for their parties and candidates, and can challenge discrepancies.
I don't disagree with @stphnfwlr (for once!😃), but I have reached out to Beach, Carson, Thomas to offer information on the system, share our experts' reports, and offer to attend LAT with them to help point out fact from fiction. There's so much of both! 1/
2/ Seems GOP officials know that "something's not right" about the Dominion system and are getting bombarded with lots of speculation and not much fact and science.
And far less solutions--and there are quick easy solutions.
3/ This idea of conducting a "mock election" on Dominion machines is not going to be helpful to @BeachforGA and his colleagues to determine the reliability of the system.
It's like Volkswagen's Dieselgate. It will work perfectly in mock election or test mode.
No wonder some GA lawmakers demand a signature audit of mail ballots! Jaw-dropping ignorance displayed in their SCOTUS amicus brief tonight.
These people ⬇️ think that the ballots have signatures on them. 🤦♀️ Read this crazy thread.⬇️
2/ They complain about potential fraud because signature checks MAY not have been as robust as they think statutes require.
The tell SCOTUS that mail ballots and the envelopes are required to have the voter's signature on them!
They never heard of secret ballot?
3/ They even cited a code section claiming it required signatures on ballots. They fibbed. Here is the law.
It does NOT say that signatures are to be on ballots.
In fact it is illegal to sign your ballot---see 4/
1/ I get questions frequently from people who have heard the SOS say that the BMD QR code ballots can be audited to tell who won. I'll explain why he is wrong.
Your BMD ballot vote is stored in the barcode. The text doesn't count. The computer reads only the QR code.
2/ The printer is supposed to print a candidate's name that matches what you entered on the touchscreen and what you hope the QR code symbol stands for. But you don't know whether the name matches the QR code.
So you really don't KNOW who you cast your vote.
3/ That can be overcome IF two unlikely things happen:
--every voter thoroughly and accurately checks before scanning to be sure that the printed list reflects his choices. (Hard to do, to remember all the contests), AND
--there is a thorough post election audit.
1/ Why hasn't the controversy over the GA election been settled yet?
Because in 2019, the GA legislature voted for a touchscreen voting system that cannot be audited, and no one can ever verify who won any election in which it is used.
2/ We should now all be committed to avoiding a repeat of this chaos and controversy in January.
It is simple, immediate, efficient and cheap!
Ditch the touchscreens and use hand marked paper ballots.
The only purchase needed is some black ball point pens.
3/ Keep the servers and the scanners.
-Give every voter a paper ballot to bubble in their choices.*
-Scan and tabulate the ballots.
-Upload memory cards to server, and generate reports.
-Audit all the races on the ballot.
*Touchscreens available for ADA use.
I'm listening to this craziness from the "Stop the Steal" Powell rally.
The very GA politicians who demanded that they have un-auditable touchscreens are now saying that they need traditional paper ballots--now only because they lost. 1/
2/ They claimed that they want a voting system that is made in the USA. I am not aware of one that does not have foreign made components. What do they plan to buy??
But GA can have 100% accurate trustworthy hand-marked paper ballots, and thoroughly audit the result.
3/ They claim that they will not vote on the Dominion machines.
They don't seem to understand that they can use the system they have and ditch the touchscreens, and use hand marked ballots and fully audit the tallies! All in public sight.
