Mr. Kenney is suffering from delusion. Completely oblivious, or aware, but doesn’t care.

Is he attempting to put a positive spin on his COVid response (gaslighting Albertans)? Or does he actually believe he has made a significant difference (gaslighting himself)?

In it you’ll find the admission that there is nothing you can do to change the delusions of the delusional, unless they are open for feedback.

Kenney and UCP MLAs have demonstrated repeatedly that feedback is unwanted, ignored and futile.

The author of the book “Insight” offers advice to change our perception of a delusional person. Imagine a laugh track playing after every delusional statement.

Seems reasonable. But not in this current situation. We cannot laugh away COVid, cannot ignore the rising death toll.

People’s are dying. So laughing it off is not a viable option.

Another option could be to get organized for the next provincial election. Support the NDP, fundraise, talk to others about what’s happening, search for the “nudgeable” people willing to listen to feedback.

The vast majority have chosen this option.

But I’m going to challenge everyone who reads this to consider another option. One that has more immediate results and could save more lives.

Albertans are technically living in a democracy. We have constitutional rights, one being the right to life. And the right to security of person.

What can we do to change this situation? Helplessly accepting our fate, laughing it off and waiting almost 3 years isn’t acceptable.

We don’t need to focus on Why Kenney & UCP are exacerbating COVid. It doesn’t really matter.

Pleas to put lives at the top of the priority list remain futile.

But that does not mean we withdraw in despair of learned helplessness.

It means we ask ourselves what we as individuals can do to influence and change this outcome.

The first step is to acknowledge the problem.

Then we need to envision a plan to remove this abusive government from power sooner than 2023.

Think about it. Start asking what, not why. Refuse to adopt helplessness as a strategy.

We are never helpless. We can choose to act. Even during a pandemic.

UCP has destroyed Christmas, refused to impose necessary lockdowns & engineered the certain collapse of healthcare.

We need UCP out of office ASAP. For our own survival and health.

The life you work to save, may very well be your own.
