I love the term soft power - it appeals to the heart & mind out of a moral conviction of right & wrong in a shared humanity calling us to our higher selves & noble aspirations
The Kingdom of God prevails by soft power
Christians who live by soft power in the public square, guided by the Holy Spirit, will do more to bring peace & heal brokenness than all the combined forces of hard power - the problem is you gotta be ready to climb up on that cross #JustLikeJesus
Christians are filled with the Spirit not to pull the human levers of power but filled to pulled altogether different levers for an altogether different kingdom that when done with humility even transforms this world
Christians fight for & over political power because they’ve never experienced the power of God or seen God do the unexplainable - so instead of trusting God patiently with the whole of history they live as of the entire future hinges on a single earthly moment driven by humans
Christians exchanging the power of God for the power of man to control others or an agenda become the worst hypocrites of all & the legitimate picture of what reprobation really is in Romans 1
Reprobation isn’t the act of a specific sin but the result of a sinful heart that exchanges in any way the Glory of God for the Glory of man
