Some people think because I’m such good friends with so many non-Xns I will leave my faith or become a universalist - never - Jesus is more precious to me than ever & his message more important
Such a strange Christianity in America today - everyone talks about evangelism, witnessing, yet most have few if any non-xn friends
If your faith can’t handle loving & hanging out with lost people - it’s not the faith of a Jesus
Theology is perfected not in a classroom but in a coffee shop with questions by non-XNs - where sometimes you have to say “I can’t answer you well - let me get back with you”
Those questions will grow your faith and cause you the think clearer & simpler
Most evangelical theology is inbred - we don’t think outside our tribes or ask questions - we merely memorize answers
Theology has never been more important to me than now - but I am far less into systematic theology and far more I to Biblical theology
Your best theology is developed by questions from outsiders that drives you deep into the Bible while being illuminated by the Holy Spirit
THAT my friend will lead to significant evangelism but it’s not the kind we like because it takes time - requires the building of relationships - demands is thinking - and is an ongoing conversation vs a presentation where u did your “duty”
NEVER dust your feet of a friend who rejects the Gospel - wash their feet
