Ekaadasha = 11
The 11th lunar day of both lunar phases, Shukl paksh (brightening moon) & Krishna paksh (fading moon),is Ekadashi
During Shukl Paksh the moon appears 3/4 full & during Krishna paksh it appears 3/4 dark.
There’re 24 #Ekadashi s in year, 2 more in the leap year

Due to the orbital path combination of the sun,moon & the earth
the air pressure in atmosphere changes to extremes on both poornima & amavasya
as can be seen in tidal waves which are rough & high but calm on the next day indicating the decreased pressure
