What is revealed is how rapidly the  All India  #Congress retreated whenever the masses were in motion, and how in this case a strategic political retreat necessitated a communalist rather than class view of an important peasant (1/25)

Learnt today that #alexanderthegreat of #macedonia #Greece had an #Indian guru the Greeks called "Kalanos" some say this was because he was a devotee of Kali .This #Hindu #Brahmin & Yogi stayed with Alexander till he was 73 & died by voluntarily walking into his own pyre
Ptolemy actually built his pyre & records the death as having taken place in Susa in 323BC .Kalanos distributed all the costly gifts he got from the king to the people and wore just a garland of flowers and chanted Vedic hymns as he walked into the Pyre.
He presented his horse to one of his Greek pupils named Lysimachus. He did not flinch as he burnt to the astonishment of those who watched. Although Alexander was not personally present at time of his immolation, his last words to Alexander were "We shall meet in Babylon".

In this thread I'll debunk the delusion that #Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya or Shudrā is determined on the basis of their birth and not by their inherent qualities and behavior once and for all, as that's the root of all evil causing destruction of our civilization and existence !
Let's start with the saying of Adi Shankaracharya who was a proponent of Advaita Vedanta that revealed the highest metaphysical reality of the universe.

“न मे मृत्युशंका न मे जातिभेदः...” that means may neither be any fear of death nor any discrimination on the basis of caste.
This verse form Manusmriti is one of the most misinterpreted one. One should always focus on the word द्विज/ 2ⁿᵈ Birth attained due to संस्कार/education in real essence one gets.

So, a Shudrā by definition is that person who doesn't get ‘educated’, so he suffers eternally.

Name #Dravidian for lang family was coined by Robert Caldwell who discussed this at length in “A Comparative Grammar of the Dravidian or South-Indian Family of Languages”1856

He gives his rationale-justification, also cleverly sowing seeds for today’s “Dravidian movement”

He sort of acknowledges Francis Whyte Ellis & Stevenson for recognising that today’s “#Dravidian” languages had much common between them, distinct from samskRta.
Ellis noted this in his intro to Alexander D Campbell’ book, “Grammar of the Teloogoo Language” (1816)

But the idea of putting tamiZ at the centre of this language, giving it a disproportionately large importance wasn’t just Caldwell’s. He mentions the use of “tamulic” and “tamulian” for this family by European writers prior to him.

If #Brahmins are proud of their past, then own up to this 👉 "French anthropologist Jean-Claude Galey encountered in a region of eastern Himalayas the low-ranking castes in a situation of permanent debt dependency....It was common practice, Galey explains, for high-caste 1/5
moneylenders to demand one of the borrower's daughters as security. Often, when a poor man had to borrow money for his daughter's marriage, the security would be the bride herself. She would be expected to report to the lender's household after her wedding night, 2/5

Time to acknowledge role of #Brahmins in building & preserving #Hindu society!

Dwellers of Saraswati banks, the Saraswat Brahmins are successors of Parshurama, the Brahmin warrior.
Parshurama led 21 campaigns against tyrant Karityavir Arjun of Haiya tribe whose capital was in Mahishmati (Maheshwar, M.P)

This is open hatred and stereotyping of the entire Brahmin community. I’m shocked that @TwitterIndia representatives can take part in such a meeting and the Twitter head displays such anti-Brahminism by holding such a signboard! 😖😱

Are @Twitter & @TwitterIndia promoting Atrocity Literature on Brahmins? Doesn’t such open ethnocentric hatred come under blatant human rights violation? @UN

Before the Jews were slaughtered there was a systematic campaign against Jews. Are Brahmins the next target for genocide?
Dear @MIB_India @HMOIndia @PMOIndia, please see the hateful tweet and the signboard being held by @Twitter and @TwitterIndia head/representatives. As a #Brahmin myself, their hate is very concerning. I’m genuinely worried about the safety of Brahmins and Brahmin children. @UNESCO

the powerful empire of Magadh,

He may behead me but can’t kill my soul”

Alexander realized, #Brahmins exerted powerful influences upon the governments of🇮🇳Republics,
that tongues of these fearless Brahmins were sharper than Khatriya swords.
