The Trump and Clinton presidencies.
This thread is full of so much generational theory mumbo jumbo that I've lost track of who we're supposed to be hating.
When we talk about these generations there seems to be the implicit understanding that we're talking about middle class American white people.

I’m about to describe a part of Wonder Woman 84 that happens over 5 minutes. Spoilers ahead:
Wonder Woman and her dead boyfriend need to get to Egypt but the body he inhabits doesn’t have a passport. So they steal a fighter jet from the Air And Space Museum but realize radar exists so she turns the plane invisible.
Come to think of it, that plane wouldn’t have been an antique in 1984, but there’s literally no reason this was set in 1984. If it was set in 2020 the only thing that would change is the trying-on-clothes montage (yes, it has a trying-on-clothes montage.)

I miss the age when Republicans were seen as the villains of politics, and not unaccountable forces of nature with no more agency than an earthquake or tsunami.
If a Republican took a shit in the street this entire site would be up in arms that Democrats didn’t find him a bathroom.
I’ll never forget “Democrats cave on DACA.” There was no one repealing DACA, apparently, it was crumbling under the force of gravity.

Can high profile reporters please not spread this stupid conspiracy theory.
It fails on every front. He nationalized their lithium a decade ago, it’s physically inaccessible, and the lithium market is currently flooded. Involving Elon Musk ups the ante because their lithium isn’t even suitable for electric car batteries.
Morales lost indigenous people, including his own tribe. That’s like Trump losing Staten Island cops. He had been selling off their land to Chinese developers for years.

Remember Office Space where a guy doesn’t like his perfectly good job because they don’t let him be an asshole or something.
Really nothing I sympathize less with now than 90s movies about the ennui that comes from living in a stable society.
Bad bosses are ones with dumb voices and not ones that make you work maskless in a pandemic.

Is there any bigger group of frauds than conservative legal scholars? All they do is congratulate each other being geniuses because they found the Republican party platform in the Constitution.
Remember when they said Sam Alito was the greatest legal mind of his time? Well it’s been 15 years, where are some of his brilliant writings? What has he written that Sean Hannity couldn’t?
The greatest among them of course was Scalia, a pompous and corrupt mediocrity who died on a secret hunting trip where he was palling around with people who had a pending case in front of the court.
