I went to the demonstration in a pastoral coastal community to see the robot dog from Ghost Robotics with its Rafael sensors and “brain” work with a UAV to map the rooms, they do this autonomously and also with human input via a tablet intuitive point-click 
The machines can map and identify threats, and Rafael combines its technology used for future combat vehicles and aircraft missile targeting, this is the future for ground forces if it can be done correctly to reduce casualties on both sides
You ask: what is someone kicks over the robot dog? There are solutions and thoughts on that. What about the noise of a drone entering a room. Indeed, but some say that this will spoke those inside and cause the desired result anyway of “stirring” them up.
How to get the artificial intelligence and sensors right, how to get infantry and special forces used to deploying robots rather than rely on traditional methods? These are hurdles but many applications such as defense and homeland security await
