In 2020 I abandoned podcasts. Now I almost exclusively listen to YouTube videos.

Dan Carlin is a fascinating story teller who made history fun for me. I love how he thinks and communicates.

Found myself uncharacteristically anxious by mid-Q4.

This video with @tferriss and @sivers helped me find the root cause (not what i expected) and fix it.

I now watch it every day.

This is the single most impressive debate and debate format I’ve ever seen.

1. Debates usually get petty
2. This one doesn’t
3. The format is genius!
4. Id love to see the format replicated across many topics

I followed this tutorial to upgrade my old webcam to a legit camera!

This guys channel is awesome. Full of cool ideas.

Heard of Peter Atia? I hadn’t until I heard this MIT lecture mentioned during an interview.

George died recently. But the research he did in his life has been profound for me.

His research uncovered:

In fact, my #1 resolution for Q1 2021 is to do this every morning.

Then I started investigating. Turns out that the word “drug” and “medicine” is marketing lingo.

Now I believe that any “drug” that grows in the ground is a medicine. And prly has been used for 1000s of years as such.
I used to think coffee was silly.

Most critical thing to answer before writing ad & email copy:

“What do my prospects know?”

1. About my product?
2. About the problem I solve?
3. About their need to solve it?

This dictates everything that you’ll write in the ad

5 Examples👇🏼
There are 5 potential levels of awareness:

1. Most Aware: "Sup fam!"
2. Product Aware: "I know you!"
3. Solution Aware: "I've heard of it”
4. Problem Aware: "This sucks!"
5. Unaware: "Life is good yo!" Image
Stage #1: Most Aware

They already know and want your product.

1. Remind them of your product
2. Review and display price
3. Highlight features and benefits

Your product probably has 1 of these 3 Issues:

1. Seems to complicated
2. Problem isn’t acute enough
3. Price seems too high

How do you fix it?

Rearrange peoples perspective of the product so the issues naturally go away.

Examples 👇
Issue #1: "Seems to complicated"

Symptoms:
1. The product seems too complicated
2. The method seems hard to follow
3. I just don't think I can do it.

Solution: Simplification.

Rearrange their perspective by boiling down your product to its most simple parts.

Example...
Issue #2: "Problem isn’t big enough"

Symptoms:
1. "Maybe I'll deal with that later"
2. Market seems too small

Solution: Escalation.

Rearrange their perspective by zooming out and focusing on another problem they are aware of and that depends on your solution.
