After the war broke out in #Tigray, many international media are reporting that more than 950,000 #Tigrayans are believed to be displaced. But what is the root cause of the ethnic Tigrayan migration across the borders? (1/9)

For over a few weeks now, we are collecting incredible facts from the relatives, eye witness, and testimonies on the ground to reflect exactly what happened. The #UN statement which was issued a few days ago reflects part of the concern. (2/9)

But in reality, it is clear that something serious has happened to these people from the western part of Tigray to cross the #Sudan border and save their lives. Sudan's border was opened over the previous years but nobody from Tigray, not at least in this magnitude, has (3/9)

crossed the border. Do you think more than 70 thousand ethnic Tigrayns would easily cross the border and change their lives in the refugee camps in Sudan just because it is fun for them? "Why do these people suddenly cross the borders?" (4/9)

We are, therefore, demanding the UN office to establish an official and independent investigation of the serious war crimes committed by (5/9)

the #Ethiopian forces including the #Amhara militias and #Eritrean soldiers, and release a stronger statement reflecting the reality on the ground by interviewing the survivors of the massacre and by visiting the locations where the crimes took place. (6/9)

The brothers-in-law, @DanielBekele and @NetsanetDBelay, who compile the first one-sided report through #AmnestyInternational and the Ethiopian Human Rights Commission accusing TPLF of the massacre in Mai Kadra have to be held responsible. (7/9)

For a very reputed organization like Amnesty international to team up with a national human rights commission of Ethiopia appointed by @AbiyAhmedAli and then confirming every biased detail in it is so embarrassing, to say the least. (8/9)
