White people are storming the Capitol Building to support a white nationalist president and many people are saying: “If Black people did that...”

Not me, though.

I know.

It was a dark and stormy night...

(I’ve always wanted to tweet that) But seriously, there was a tropical storm when a group of people gathered in the woods.

If they were white, we’d call them “founding fathers” but they were slaves who were about to change the world

A thread
Voudou priestess Cecile Fatiman danced with a knife. Then she split a pig and everyone drank the pig’s blood from a wooden bowl while enslaved priest Cutty Boukman prayed:

“The god who created the earth; who created the sun that gives us light. The god who holds up the ocean;
who makes the thunder roar. Our god who has ears to hear. You who are hidden in the clouds, who watch us from where you are. You see all that the white has made us suffer. The white man’s god asks him to commit crimes. But the god within us wants to do good...

Aight. Here’s my favorite 2 stories about Bill Russell.

Both stories reveal how much of a humble human being he is. And one blows my mind because it dismantles what we think about the evolution of sports.

A thread:
The first is, that there is an assumption that today’s athletes are faster, stronger, etc. which is is based on ZERO evidence.

For instance, Wilt Chamberlain benched 465 lbs at 59 years old. Arnold Schwarzenegger says he benched 500 lbs on the set of Conan the Destroyer
Most basketball experts say Wilt has the highest vertical leap in NBA history. A few others argue that Michael Jordan did.

I think they’re both wrong.

Why?

Well let me tell you a story:

RIP KC Jones, the ONLY man to win Olympic gold, multiple NCAA titles; and multiple NBA titles as a player, asst. coach AND head coach.

Jones revolutionized sports, just not the one you’re thinking about.

He's the reason the NFL plays the way it plays

A thread:
Alongside his lifelong teammate Bill Russell, K.C. JONES went undefeated as a point guard of the 55-56 University of San Francisco Dons and won 2 NCAA titles and an Olympic Gold Medal.

He played on EIGHT NBA championship teams.

He was an assistant coach for 2 NBA champions.
As a head coach, he won 2 titles.

Every team he ever played on IN LIFE, went to the playoffs. He was 8-0 in the NBA finals

Every team he ever coached for went to the playoffs, except when he retired halfway through his final season as Seattle coach.

This is an example of a problem called “mechanical racism” that is rarely talked about.

This happens a lot and when it does, some people are brave enough to point out the racism

I think those people are wrong .

A thread.
A lot of black people have experienced this phenomenon, especially people like myself who have darker skin tones.

Here is great example:

I can’t wash my hands at IKEA.

Why?
The way this works is that light is reflected from the hand to a sensor, which turns on the water/soap/etc.

But darker skin tones ABSORB light, so when I walk into restroom that uses this technology, I know there’s a 50/50 chance I can wash my hands.

That’s because you don’t know what you’re talking about.

A thread:
The reason you think this is because white people make the laws.

Take NC for instance. It’s voting restrictions were struck down by a federal court because, according to the court they ...you know what?

Read it for yourself.
A WHOLE different court said this about a Texas law:

I just found out that @johnlegend made Jingle Jangle and it all makes sense now.

I’ve been working on this a theory for a while but it’s time to expose him.

I believe that John Legend is an actual angel.

A thread:
his bio is a lot like mine. I’m a real person. But is John?

U be the judge.

He CLAIMS he was homeschooled in “Springfield,” the most common city name in America.

Being homeschooled myself, I know i know ithis sheltered life. This is a cover.

That nigga was in heaven, dawg.
He went to high school at 12, same as me. According to my sources (Wikipedia) he led a jazz ensemble and a acapella group and was offered admisssion to Harvard, Georgetown and Morehouse but went to Penn—an Ivy League School
