yeah def the first time aggrieved white people in america got violent 🙄
almost the entire history of this country is white people getting pissed off about shit. sometimes they got pissed off for good shit. but there's a lot of times they got pissed off in defense of heinous shit.
maybe we need to do a faq.

white people - its ok to get violently pissed off for being unfairly taxed by the crown. it isn't ok to get violently pissed off because the black guy became president.
white folks, if you're not sure if its ok to be pissed off, check in with an area minority, who will be happy to sign off on your pissed-off state.

i hate that post-9/11 and sandy hook that loss of life does not have the same punch it used to, both for myself, and for all of us. 20+ yrs ago, 5 people dead at the capitol would be a "holy shit" kind of thing and while its still obviously shocking its not shocking like before.
now its like "yeah, 5 people died at the capitol on wednesday. yep." or "4,000 people died from a virus yesterday. sure." or "some guy killed 60 people in the middle of vegas. yeah, that happened." and we just ... move along.
(i still find it weird how the vegas shooting got a collective shrug)

re dana bash. yes, thats why you let them know when they screw up. they actually hear you, despite claiming they can't.
theres a strong culture of "what's the point, theyre just going to keep doing [bad thing] anyway" with liberals. and i think this is precisely the wrong takeaway.

conservatives understand the value in jumping on top of people - politicians, media, institutions. it works.
liberals tend to do this thing - and i hate it - of "well ill just ignore/mute/hope they do better but don't say anything."

it doesn't work. all that does is tell the bad actors that you'll sit and take it. and they do more.

If Democrats always have to answer for the sins of Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, real or imagined, Republicans should be saddled with the sins of Trump for decades.

if i were white i think id be going to the cabin and yelling at cops without consequence all the time.
i imagine theres a concierge to show you the ropes, kind of like in that old snl skit. "this is your cabin. you dont have to wash your hands and every unit comes with a gender reveal explosion kit. heres a list of swears you can use with cops..."
