Premier Doug Ford says 15,000 doses of vaccine were administered in Ontario yesterday. He's at another vaccine-related photo op today. #COVID19Ontario
12,251 doses were administered yesterday, according to the government's official #COVID19 vaccination page. (I'm told this count still does not include doses of the Moderna vaccine, administered by mobile teams in long-term care.) #COVID19Ontario

I have watched & listened to nearly every one of Premier Doug Ford's 200+ news conferences in the nine months since the pandemic began, and I believe he has never sounded more worried than he did this morning. #COVID19Ontario

BREAKING: Ontario tells hospitals to be ready within 48 hours to clear beds for a surge of #COVID19 patients, @CBCNews has learned. #covid19ontario
cbc.ca/news/canada/to…
I obtained a 4-page memo that went to all hospital CEOs today from the head of @OntarioHealthOH. telling them to prepare to activate surge capacity plans immediately. For hospitals in the lockdown & control zones, that means clearing up to 15% of beds for #COVID19 patients.
This comes on the day that the number of #COVID19 patients in Ontario hospitals surpassed 900 for the first time since May. #COVID19Ontario cbc.ca/news/canada/to…

BREAKING: Ontario is launching a new colour-coded system for #COVID19 restrictions: green, yellow, orange, red ... and lockdown. cbc.ca/news/canada/to… #COVIDOntario ImageImageImageImage
When the system takes effect, most public health units are set to be in green or yellow, facing largely the same prevention measures as they've been under since June. #covidontario Image
Toronto, Peel, York, Ottawa & the Eastern Ontario Health Unit would be in orange, with LESS stringent restrictions than currently in place for "modified stage 2". Indoor drinking & dining permitted in bars & restaurants, but last call is moved up to 9pm, max 4 per table. #COVID19 Image
