Whatever the elite, FEAR historically used to control masses. They haven't got enough people fearful of God now to manage expectations. Scientists, politicians, media, corporate elite ALL secure themselves power, through impending doom thinking they know best how to control us.

Those of you who think scientists are necessarily good guys need to be reminded of how they readily became shills in Nazi Germany: I think can be a danger of arrogant elitism that can attract them to supporting authoritarianism. Don't be intimdated if you see something wrong-

believing in scientific method is one thing, but don't think the ideologically committed aren't above twisting things to suit their own ideological agendas, corporate interests, or their belief in telling a lie for the greater good. So beware BAD science. Ironically here's Horton

While not enough simply to cite bias - you still have to provide evidence & reason why research conclusions may be flawed - worth remembering. Appeal to Authority always a fallacy if argument put against it is wrong. Horses teeth, stable lads & scholars & all eh @docmartincohen ?

And here is example of scientific 'authority' creating a strawman of arguments against the draconian lockdowns validity. It's pathetic gaslighting abuse and fallacious, & avoids serious questions being raised, as is the journalist commentating on it
