Great move but also don't assume all leather is 'not traceable'. When you attend international fashion trade/leather fair big or small, raw leather & product companies all keen to show you shift to more eco friendly methods- been going on decades: real enemy FAKE leather ALL crap
So if a boutique buys Turkish leather or sheepksin from an Afghan wholesaler, that wholesaler they'll not only tell you what country its from but the breed of sheep/cow! Often its even British but has been round the block to process & go into products. So for eg Turkey imported
live Irish cows and now use in their leather products. Just because that is all difficult to explain to the consumer doesn't meant its not traceable. The problem, is corporate use of pu leather because for them ALL leather is too expensive for them to make huge profits on
So hopefully @SusFoodTrust you will appreciate this and while I welcome the idea, TAKE CARE not to make consumer wary of leather in general when its pretty much all better these days than the pu alternatives. We DO need more processors of hides in UK, but most are not interested
in doing it. So for eg I have been unable to source any UK mouton fur makers in UK they all go for the rug market etc. So many raw sheepskins go abroad to make in to 'finished' products the market actually wants. Huge gap in the market for it.
Why no UK producer is doing this atm is beyond me when demand is high, as a few niche flying jacket makers will tell you. Sad a lot of the west country big sheepskin coat makers are gone - once so many they were able to provide us all with them! Image
And he deamnd is there but the supply is NOT in this country those middle men are gone, and the small niche people are crazy prices and not interested in doing what the market wants. So we are now in the crazy situation where a 1970s UK made sheepskin penny lane coat will go for
£400 second hand, yet nobody in UK interested in MAKING. So tanned hides will end up still going abroad for those who are wanting to create, and the vintage market going crazy.
So find me a UK company that will produce me sheared polished mouton, or patent leather. They don't
have with economy of scale or the trust to give it a go as there's no investment. Yet, millions are thrown at cactus leather rebranding of pu as eco friendly - nuts

A thread on the WEF elites Fourth Industrial Revolution , agriculture, biodiversity, sustainable development goals and human destiny

The true face of the @wef Green Revolution - think they really care about Black Lives ?

This is the human cost of your electric car.
This is what they are doing to indigenous people in name of protection of biodiversity through false science they fund as @StephenCorrySvl of @Survival organization to protect indigenous peoples rights explains.
You can see how media inc BBC involved in this racist ImageImageImageImage
imperialist elitist agenda , linked to notion uber rich white urban people, (often representing Multinational corporations whose profits result from unprecendeted eco damage) better guardians of nature than those who have stewarded the land well re biodiversity for centuries ImageImageImageImage

Whatever the elite, FEAR historically used to control masses. They haven't got enough people fearful of God now to manage expectations. Scientists, politicians, media, corporate elite ALL secure themselves power, through impending doom thinking they know best how to control us. ImageImageImageImage
Those of you who think scientists are necessarily good guys need to be reminded of how they readily became shills in Nazi Germany: I think can be a danger of arrogant elitism that can attract them to supporting authoritarianism. Don't be intimdated if you see something wrong- ImageImageImageImage
believing in scientific method is one thing, but don't think the ideologically committed aren't above twisting things to suit their own ideological agendas, corporate interests, or their belief in telling a lie for the greater good. So beware BAD science. Ironically here's Horton ImageImage

#Sheepskin. From humble sheep, that not only feeds us but produces wool that insulates us for decades & hide that does for generations. If you have't got sheepskin coat don't you DARE talk about #sustainability & meat while you lecture in polyester fossil fuel heating blasting
@UniofOxford perhaps you better tell your students that. TURN OFF YOUR HEATING then see how keen they are to ban meat. Working class kids instinctively learned what else animal that supplies lamb also supplies when freezing ass off on street corners not heated halls of privilege.
Wool crombies, donkey jackets and sheepskin coats for the hard of thinking at your Uni.....

The Nazis had their own Attenborughs in shape of the Hecks and similar concerns about 'certain' humans stewarding the environment wrong. Ironic then that slave lands still have more bear and wolves that Germany.
This time it's African indigenous people the target of #ecofascists
with people like billionaire Jeremy Grantham funding the WWF, and also Grantham institutes in UK academia that are also targeting sheep farmers in the UK. Ironic that red squirrel polecat red kite etc fine in sheep farming areas; & in Africa megafauna in tribal lands doing rather
better than national conservation parks many cases. NOT them that's the problem re sustainability & biodiversity. It's very uber wealthy rogues now wanting to take control, & stuff we don't need to consume. Don't let WEF & their lackey NGOs lunatics run the asylum #GreatReset

@edmpolitico @FatEmperor Yep but you are still an idiot. Appeal to (one's own) authority is no defence, Sweden has a lower death count than many lockdown nations, and the deaths concentrated largely in care homes in a few regions ie not associated general community spread. If you
@edmpolitico @FatEmperor have studied the data you either know that, or think we don't. Either way, when the data is there for all to see, it makes you look an idiot see? Doesn't matter what you've studied if you are wrong you are wrong.
@edmpolitico @FatEmperor Now because Sweden did that same mistake in certain municipaliies as we did here UK, and NY did, we need to take a nation that had no lockdown, peferably at all, and who didn't engage in such lunacy. There is one, who stuck, two fingers up at the WHO & Davos, and

If you don't wear wool & leather you're a cunt. There, said it. Needs to be said. You want math 1 pr leather shoes longevity=100kgs inc repairs life. Synth shoes you need 40 prs at 35kgs ( I est. closer to 150 but I'll go with excusers) = 1.4 TONNES or 6 years meat over alt diet
DO NOT WEAR TRACK SHOES FOR NORMAL WEAR- designed short life running: last 6 months. Will believe we're serious about sustainability when I see Bert Trautman jumpers on goalies and proper net ripping leather football boots back, and leather balls too complete with pig bladders
And this TWAT wants to ban fur! 🧠🌱

Do people not get it animals are the solution not the damn problem!
How long will a synthetic busby last? Idiot.
