A chunk of this seems like it's required by the state; and some of this would be required for any eligibility program. That said, the DOH's contractor (Affiliated Physicians) requires you to punch a generic usr/psword just to make an account. Why? — hca-nys.org/wp-content/upl…
The H&H website seems better. Let's take a brief look at how that seems to work. I guess the Comptroller's office is calling each question a step, which... Some of this you have to do every time you go to a doc's office, so.
Now, it says no appointments available. So then it brings up a screen to look for other testing locations(?), which then brings up places to get a swab — which,,,
OH HANG ON, IT'S ACTUALLY THREE WEBSITE?!
- H&H
- DOH vaccine hub
- DOH clinic?!
Here's the login screen for the 'pop-up' vaccine clinics, which you have to use a dummy login for (why?!), which are different from the vaccine hubs?!
And for the vaccine 'hubs', DOH has a third website. It prompts you to make an account. But if you enter the information and say create account, it then returns you to the home page without any message. Maybe there's a registration email that comes? Who knows!
I guess this shouldn't be surprising. Ten months into this crisis, DOH and H&H still haven't put all of their testing locations on one webpage with an easily searchable page. (Again, why not?)
But man.
Nor does either list of testing sites integrate wait times or an address lookup function.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This caught by eye. As Mayor de Blasio campaigned for president (remember?), his panel commissioned to rethink G&T recommended with doing away the whole shebang, further outraging a lot of the parent groups already outraged by proposals to scrap the SHSAT.
