I believe 138 GOP House members voted to block certification of one or more of the states on 1/06.
There's 435 House members, but 3 vacancies at the moment (NY-22 still undecided; Cedric Richmond resigned to join Biden Admin; GOP Luke Letlow died of COVID), so that's 432.
2/3 of 432 = 288.
Dems hold 221 seats w/out Richmond or Brindisi, so they'd need 67 GOP to expel any of the other GOP.
There's 211 House GOP total. Subtract 138 seditionists = 73.
So...Dems would need 92% of non-seditionist GOP Reps to vote to expel any of the other 138.
Of course this assumes 100% of Dems stuck together, which is actually a reasonable assumption under the circumstances, I suppose.
I can't fathom that any of the 138 seditionists would have the chutzpah to vote to expel any of the *other* seditionists for "being worse than me."
I may be off by one or two on the total number of vacancies or how many GOP votes would be needed, but it's definitely gonna be in the mid-60's.

No biggie. Just a point-blank allegation of multiple fellow members of Congress directly involved in the attempted kidnapping and/or mass murder of members of Congress coming from a former military pilot and prosecutor.
Maybe Mitch will time the actual conviction vote for, like, 11:30am on the 20th. Pence can be sworn in at the same inauguration ceremony and immediately take his seat for Biden to be sworn in half an hour later.
Via @OpenSecretsDC, it looks like BCBSA donated ~$8.2M total this cycle; @rachanadixit says it went 2:1 GOP, so that's ~$5.5M.
Not massive $, and not all of it went to the ~130 seditionists, but symbolically huge & hopefully the start of a larger corporate cut-off movement.
In addition, of course, the significance re. healthcare policy is even bigger. A significant number of Dems support *banning* private insurance outright in favor of M4All, while the GOP is trying to strike down the #ACA even as I type this, so...
👀 He’s already stated he wants border guards to be able to shoot people on the other side of the border at will...and we still have thousands of refugees locked in cages. They don’t need zip ties to take them hostage, they already are.
He’s traveling to the border this week. In Texas. Where both the Governor, Attorney Genera, both U.S. Senators, most Congressional members and most of the state legislature are batshit die-hard supporters. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
I don’t know what the hell he has in mind but some of his thugs were already planning on massacring up to 500 members of Congress, I don’t think they’d bat an eye at massacring thousands of already-caged immigrants who they don’t think of as human to begin with.
The only legit concern I've heard about DC is the question of what happens to its current 3 Electoral Votes, since technically the remaining portion of DC (The Mall, etc) would still retain 3 EVs even though only a handful of people would live there...including the President.
So, as I understand it (and I could be wrong), the new *state* of DC would get 3 EVs for its new House district & 2 Senators, but the tiny enclave within it composed of the White House, Capitol etc. would *also* get 3 EVs.
If I'm wrong, please correct me.
Re. the Guard, I don't know how jurisdiction would work, but if I'm correct that "DC" would be reduced to the Mall area, would that mean the new *state* of DC still couldn't send Guard troops past the border? I suppose it'd be small enough they could simply surround it, though...
