Most who voted for Trump must be confused & upset, maybe defensive. Be upset with Trump for betraying the country, but trust that the rest of us want free & open democracy. Denounce him, admit this evil is unacceptable & let’s rebuild our civic space 100% free from violence.
If, God forbid, you are one of those people who has evidence of (any aspect, no matter how seemingly small, of) the ongoing coup plot, provide it to the FBI & stand with the rest of us to uphold a democratic republic in which the peaceful transfer of power is sacrosanct.
That evidence may take many forms. In a horrifying sign of how far we have fallen, letters have been sent from a small number of Republican local or county committees, expressing sympathy with the coup plot & saying Trump will remain in office despite losing. THAT is evidence.
You may have a friend or relative who is planning to join one of these “armed protests” or who talks about bloodshed or “an uprising” to defend Trump. That is evidence. You should prevail on that person to stay away from those planned paramilitary attack locations.
