1/ A known Insurrectionist still has command of the US military.

A military/DOJ/FBI that chose to ignore the threat by white supremacist terrorists and allowed them to attack the Legislative Branch and occupy the US Capitol for ~4 hours.
2/ The DOJ/DoD/FBI have total jurisdiction over the District of Columbia. 20,000 US troops directly under Trump's command are in control of the district.
3/ It makes no sense for President Elect Joe Biden and VP Elect Kamala Harris to enter the Federally controlled and occupied District until after they are sworn in and gain full authority over all federal agencies.

1/ No one is taking about the fact that there are very specific plans to protect the US Capitol, a joint session of Congress and the VP.

Someone CHOSE to withhold the execution of those plans.

Who made this decision?

Who ordered it?
2/ The US Capitol, during a joint session, was breached and terrorists, domestic or foreign, could have bombed or attacked Congress from the inside, where the building is vulnerable.
3/ Who ordered the DHS, Secret Service & FBI to stand down and not execute protection plans for the US Capitol during a joint session of Congress?

We know why, but who below Trump gave the orders to stand down and allow the Legislative Branch to be attacked?

It ONLY says that the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court will preside over the trial.
Justices in the past have been passive because historically the Senate has conducted legitimate impeachment trials, with witnesses & documents

Of course the presiding judge can choose to defer to Senate rules and allow them to manage the trial, BUT ...
