Just a ramble of thoughts that I have with the upcoming DGW. I'll keep it brief and to the point.
1) Antonio. He's still building fitness and the games are two days apart. Fixtures are good yes but know that its a punt. I agree that the options in that price...
...are limited but wanted to re-iterate that the games are two days apart.
2) High upside punts outside of the usual suspects? Mane, Timo, Vardy and Sterling. When it comes to Liverpool and Chelsea, I think the impact of the longer break is going to make a difference. Lamps..
..mentioned how important it was to get some time on the training pitch in his presser. Remember that when Chelsea had the full backs and Ziyech fit, they were a different beast. Fixtures after 19 nice too. Vardy faces Leeds in two games after the Double and you know..
..what you get with him so I like it as a steady pick. Mane is one of the best differentials in the game. Looking better than Mo on the eye-test last few. He's got 4 goals against Burnley while Mo has 1. Mo only has 1 against United too. I'm not saying instead of Mo for...
Mane. I'm saying good punt in addition to Mo. You know my infatuation with Timo. I rate the player. Simple as. I rate the Chelsea players too. All depends on how much Lamps fucks around. He's still on pens. They're due. Hoping he plays striker. The supporting cast is...
...fit now. These four and Rash won't be very popular and where you could earn some huge points.
3) Cancelo. Player i'm most scared of not owning. I've tripled on City and can't afford atm. He's going to shit double digits for fun very soon.
4) Revisit Antonio. I trust their..
...attack more than their defence atm.
5) Don't be blindsided by the double. Leeds, Spurs and Ars have great fixtures this week. If you're selling Spurs players for Mo/KdB/ captain picks, its fine i reckon.
6) I was looking to trim my squad and this is some decent...
...info. Mitch is very very playable from GW20 onwards for a long time. So if you need to fund a big hitter, a good place to trim fat is defence because Mitch is playable. He's won his place back imo.
7) Barnes is nailed I reckon. Brodge has settled on a starting 11 now and...
...his team hasn't changed in a while. Barnes and Lookman are two good mid price punts with a double in 19 and good fixtures after.
8) Back to Chelsea. I like their fixtures from a defensive perspective. Also Ziyech back is good for both full backs (interplay with Reece and..
...deep far post cross for Chillwell).
9) Watch out for Tony injury news. If he's out for some time, Cavani is a nice cheap punt. But news dependant. I don't have info atm.
That's all folks. Enjoyed typing this. Ta.
Just a little error. I trust WHU defence more than attack atm.

Missing some Tweet in this thread? You can try to

A few people have been asking me to do a thread on my thinking behind captaincy so here goes. There isn't an exact science or theory behind it because i'm very instinctive (and lucky) but i fancy a ramble because i already miss writing. Read on
I got a total of 573 captaincy points and this is my breakdown of hauls in points:
0-9 pts: 14 GWS (Random 5, City 5, Salah 3, Martial 1)
10-19 pts: 11 GWS (Random 4, City 4, Salah 3)
20+ pts: 13 GWS (Salah 4, City 6, Martial 3)
I have never captained KdB.
What i learnt from the tweet above is primarily i love captaining city players (highest scoring team in the league) despite the rotation risk associated with them because when it comes through, i even hit 30+ hauls quite often. Do i deserve that luck? I did get 5 dud hauls and..
- I can't recommend this game enough. This game is based on a simulation in Championship Manager 01/02. You don't need to play or have played Championship Manager to do well in the game. I've never played Championship Manager
(1/22)
- The teams in 01/02 are great. You'll get to pick players like Ruud, Henry, Euell, Rebrov, Shearer, etc.
- The rules are standard FPL rules with chips etc. The only big exception is that there are no price changes.
- The Gameweeks are on Wednesday and Saturday every week
(2/22)
- There is a live twitter commentary for the Gameweek on the @FantasyChampMan account. These guys love to tease and sometimes get a little sadist. Which i love.
- James from @PlanetFPLPod (assisted by @FplKaptain ) do a live Stream during the Matchdays which is..
