As of today, there are 17,677 B.1.1.7 sequences on GISAID. 16,782 of these are from the UK, but there are 36 countries in total with sequences assigned B.1.1.7 by pangolin.
pangolin assigned lineage B.1.351 to 476 sequences on GISAID from 13 countries. (@Tuliodna @houzhou variant 501Y.V2)
We see no increase in sequences representing lineage P.1 on GISAID, with 15 sequences from Brazil (Manaus) and Japan. It has currently only been reported in Brazil and Japan. @nmrfaria
We present updated sequence counts and reports of lineage B.1.1.7 on volume of passengers leaving London airports in October. A total of 54 countries now report cases of B.1.1.7. Hungary newly reports B.1.1.7, with 5% prevalence and local transmission. Thanks @GaborKemenesi.
We also present udpated reports and counts of lineage B.1.351 on volume of passengers from South African airports, with a total of 22 countries reporting cases (13 of them represented by sequences on GISAID). @Tuliodna @houzhou
