As of today, there are 17,815 B.1.1.7 sequences on GISAID. 16,847 of which are from the UK. There are 38 countries in total with sequences assigned B.1.1.7 by pangolin.
pangolin assigned lineage B.1.351 to 529 sequences on GISAID from 13 countries, no increase from yesterday.

There have been no additional sequences representing lineage P.1 on GISAID. There are still 15 sequences from Brazil (Manaus) and Japan. It has currently been reported in Brazil and Japan and no new reports have come to our attention. @nmrfaria
As of today 2021-01-17, 55 countries in total have reported cases of B.1.1.7 (38 on GISAID) and a total of 22 countries have reported cases of lineage B.1.351 (13 of them represented by sequences on GISAID).
